Well, I've been wanting to try them and pass by often and finally we stopped in. It's kinda in a small, non-descript shopping center, but turns out very nice inside. The positive reviews were right on and we enjoyed breakfast a lot. It's funny but I never make breakfast at home but sometimes love to find a good breakfast spot, sit down with a local newspaper or magazine and just breathe deep. This place was all that with excellent food, great service and good sized portions.I really, really liked it.

Hubby and I came to Roseville to help my parents move out of state after the Campfire took everything. My parents had been living here until there brew home was ready. Obviously the people here have grown to love my parents as we were greeted with a smile and everyone knew them. The food was good, but the warm and loving atmosphere is what made it a great breakfast!!

We've been regular patrons at Mel's for years, and continue to go there because there's good food and fine service from the young staff. We also go to the Folsom store, which is equally worthy of your patronage. This is one of the best breakfast places anywhere. Also lunch and dinner, with 24 hour service. There are special prices on popular breakfast dishes between midnight and 10 am, which changes depending on the day of the week. Over all, you'll have a hard time finding a better meal, especially late night when most restaurants are closed. We're always happy at Mel's.
