Located just outside the Galena Square. Small town restaurant with home cooked meals. We don't freeze our food, it is made fresh. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Check out the website for the specials. All meals are homemade and cooked to order.
I ate there twice this past week and the food was outstanding, especially the roasted Brussel sprouts with bacon vinegarette and toasted pecans!!! This is the perfect way to prepare Brussel sprouts. The smoked brisket was also terrific. It would be worthwhile to drive an hour for a meal at this place..

We saw that Billy Bob's Dairyland had good reviews so we decided to take a chance. It's a small place, only 14 tables plus a 3 seat counter space... and the place was packed at lunch time with visitors and locals (yes, the police officers were no doubt locals, as were some others). Even though it was busy we were seated quickly, the waitress showed up quickly for take our order, and the order was delivered quickly and accurate to what we ordered. And the burgers were not only delicious, the meat patties were huge and tasty! We can see how this place has been rated high on a number of review sites.

Home of Branson's original singing servers. A 50s themed diner offering music from the decades of the 50s and 60s and on up to today. A variety of singing styles, pop, rock, showtunes, opera, gospel, country, etc. Food offerings include burgers, sandwiche
US 50's diner with the addition that every 5 to 10 minutes one of the servers sings on the house-p.a. system (country/gospel/pop). The servers/singers have great voices and their CD's are available in the gift shop. The food is great as well. My wife said her milkshake was "gorgeous". Overall a great experience.

Breakfast with family...lots of time for catch-up conversation and 'worth stopping for' breakfast. Guys had eggs over easy (done perfectly), patty sausage, crispy hash browns, sourdough toast...all delicious. My French Toast seasoned with aromatic cinnamon...way more than I usually eat, but I cleaned my plate. Three extra winners...coffee cups kept filled, great value, and super service. Skip Branson overprices...check out a real Ozark breakfast.

but the food is good, lots of bar food choices. had fried mushrooms, and split a tenderloin. good choice to split it...was huge. not a whole lot on tap but the typical cheap MO beers. Bartenders were super nice and you can see this is a true local haunt all day long. does not look like much but if you're in the area and want some wholesome food to eat, make a stop.

We stopped here just to fill up with gas and noticed this little place attached to the gas station, we figured since we were hungry anyway we will just get a burger there. Great decision! We got there at 1:15(they close at 2). We did not feel like we were rushed at all even though it was close to closing. I ordered the Shelly Burger! Great choice!! Probably one of the best burgers I have ever eaten! Definitely in my top 3. Everyone there were friendly and helpful! This place is a must do when passing by! Stop by and get a few burgers or some ice cream.

Recommended as a local favorite, breakfast was delicious, on time, and inexpensive. Waitress was very friendly, helpful, great at her job. Tons of choices on the menu and plenty of seating for small and large groups as well. Just wish they were open on sundays!

Suzie's Mid-Town Café is a Veteran owned family style restaurant that serves classic American food, homemade Desserts and more. Fried Chicken on Sunday is a favorite and we stay busy.
I believe if I had ordered any breakfast or burger meal I would have rates this much higher. However, I was tempted by their daily special of chicken fried chicken. The over all flavor of the gravy on the mashed potatoes was good; green beans was good, even the crust on the chicken had a good taste. However, the chicken breast was very rubbery. After discussing it and thinking about it, we realized the "rubber" effect was the result of having to fast thaw the chicken (via microwave) and then dip it into the batter and fry. I realize now that a small town cafe can't run the risk of chicken spoiling if they kept it thawed out and they didn't have enough orders for it. Not sure they can fix this problem. If I go again, I would choose things that most likely don't need to be thawed out (via microwave) before final cooking/preparation and serving is done. Staff is great. Very personal. Restaurant is very clean (they are constantly cleaning, sweeping etc when they are not serving customers. They use a good table sanitation process after each tableGroup leaves. I was very impressed with cleanliness of a small cafe in an old building. They close at 4p each day so plan accordingly. First of all I want to thank you for trying Suzie's and I'm sorry you had an issue with your meal. I wish you would have said something at the time instead of making a review that is not accurate.. I assure you, we do no thaw meat in the microwave. We follow strict guidelines as set by the Health Department and just plain common sense. I invite you to come back again and try the Chicken Fried Chicken or any other meal, on the house. But please, in the future, before you make a review as you did, make sure you have the facts. Reviews are an important part of who we are and when is made that is not factual, it could damage our business. Please, in the future, if you have an issue, address it immediately and not hundreds of miles down the road.
