The Wooden Soldier

Unexpected pleasure after visiting Fair Haven with parents. They said they enjoyed their meals there in the past so we stopped in. Had great egg salad sandwich and very nice tomatoe soup. Daughter liked her chef salad. Prices were excellent and service great. Will go back for sure when in area.

Big Apple Diner

Not gourmet food, but always good, reliable breakfast, lunch, or dinner that hits the spot when you are hungry. Pass by sometimes traveling from NY to VT and it's very convenient for us that most nights they're open until 9:00 and you can get breakfast items.Must save room for a piece of their scrumptious homemade pie selection.

Sunrise Restaurant

We just had dinner at The Sunrise Restaurant. It was so-so, and probably not worth another try. The meatloaf was okay. The gravy on tasted canned. The fish and chips were barely edible. It was one of the evening specials: frozen, overcooked and very dry, with a strong fish taste. We spent $30 (not including the tip) which is what we generally spend for much better meals. The waitstaff, however, was excellent.

Birdseye Diner

Reviewed By Vonnie J

Typical diner experience except it had an added seating area. I had hamburger steak and my husband had chicken parmigiana. Gracious amount of food. Just like homecooking. Our waitress was wonderful. We had a good time with the difference in our “accents” being we are from the south. Would surely recommend this diner to others.
