My husband is from the Port Huron area and every summer we head back up north, A trip to Port Huron isn't complete unless we stop at Manis' Restaurant. The menu offers really good options of home cooking. I had the perch dinner which was fabulous ~ lightly breaded and pan fried. It was incredible! My husband had the gyro ~ he was very pleased. It doesn't get much better than Cavis' and their home cooking. Prices are reasonable, portions generous!!

While visiting the riverwalk I asked some of the locals where was a good "local" place to eat. The answer was the Colonial Restaurant. It was like an old time diner. The decor was darling and the food was just ...well, good. It was nothing fancy but tasty and inexpensive. I had my dogs and was preparing to take the meal to go back to my travel trailer and they said we were welcome to eat outside at the picnic tables. We did and it was delightful. The young lady at the counter was VERY attentive and brought the food out to us. We ordered their desserts and they were to die for. I was dying to eat breakfast but couldn't figure out how to pull the travel trailer into the parking lot!

I was surprised by how busy Powers were when we stopped in for a quick lunch. The meal was delicious which quickly explained why they were busy. Look forward to going back.

I visited with a friend of mine. He had the famous chili dogs and loved them. I got the reuben sandwich. The service was fast and friendly. The sandwich was stick-to-your-ribs filling and good. The fries were crisp, and the diet cola was cold. Heartily recommend.

I let the GPS find us a place for dinner and I must say this place was great! Arrived at 8:30 at night (they close at 9) and had the place mostly to ourselves. Waitress was so friendly. Food was delicious, hot and more than plentiful! Goolash was yummy and had to take half home for dinner the next day. Burger was BIG and cooked to perfection. Will come back on our way home.

We were so impressed by our experience last year at this local restaurant that we went back this year for daily breakfasts. We were NOT disappointed! Delicious breakfast foods at very reasonable prices with great service! We will continue to go to Cavis Restaurant every time we visit here!
