I went for lunch and had the cheeseburger ( Hamburger on a toasted bun with the Swiss cheese melted on the bun) . It was a nice size beef patty with a good amount of steak fries a little coleslaw, pickle wedge and lettuce and tomato. It was delicious and cooked just right for my preference.

Years ago, there were many little luncheonettes in the New York area. Charming and comfortable, they served an honest breakfast with table service. Often, chains have taken over to our regret. This is a wonderful throwback to earlier and, in many ways, simpler times. J & B is a delightful representative of luncheonettes. Excellent breakfast and lunch choices with table service and a lunch counter. It is a small place, but the food and service are excellent and the ambience is great. Enjoy!!

A group of four men, of which I was one, ate lunch during our lunch break yesterday at this diner in a strip mall across the street from the county courthouse. It was quite busy at lunchtime when we entered, but we were directed to a table right away. Each of us had a different diner speciality, including a sandwich, a wrap, or, in my case, meatloaf and mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy. My meatloaf consisted of a couple of slices of normal meatloaf deep fried to golden brown. It was good, but I could not keep myself from thinking about all the extra calories. I had never seen meatloaf prepared this way before and I had mixed feelings about it. The portions are adequate but not huge. Everyone seemed to like what they got, judging by the empty plates by the end of the meal. The bill was fair for what we ordered. Best was their chocolate pudding which was rich and creamy with a strong chocolate flavor. This place is fine for lunch, but understand that it is far from luxurious and the cuisine is rather basic.

Salads are good. Hamburgers not great. They came out too fast to be coked from scratch. I asked for medium but it came out well done. Food could be hotter. Easy to park, clean, lots of tables.

Very popular with locals, I never really understood why. I've gone several times. Silverware had stains, food was very average-to-below, place was relatively clean, small. Maybe it's just me, but this place is nothing special and I would pass on it if I had a choice. Maybe I'm just not connected to the family that runs it...always full on weekends, especially breakfast, lots of regulars.

I remember there was a Hogans many years ago near where the Palisades Mall is now. I heard it was great and then it moved. I never got around to going, but being new to the Haverstraw area, we decided to go in and give them a try. Not disappointed at all. Friendly service, clean, great food, and priced just where you would expect. My wife is a big bacon fan and made a few comments on how good this bacon was. My breakfast was great and the overall experience was 10/10. We'll be going back for sure.

Wandered in here for breakfast on the road with the wife. Diners are not a big thing in our part of the world. A nice place with a gigantic menu. We had a hard time deciding on the food. When the waitress realized that we were newbies from out of town, she was very nice and kind, as well as very helpful! The food was very good! The portions were large and the price was a great value. If I return to the area, I will return to eat here, probably after 12 Noon, so I can eat the Greek Food.
