It's Not Just a Restaurant it's a Place That Turn Your Mood ON ! The Finest & Most fresh Peace of Art Coming on a Dish Serving to you with Love & Passion
We waited some time before trying this place. Great location for us and were hopeful it had been redone and cleaned from the prior owners. We visited on a snowy day so there were very few guests. The place has been redecorated nicely if not oddly. It was not a sparkling clean as I would have expected on a slow day. There were crumbs on the seats and a spoon under our table. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the food was good. Glad to have a diner close to go to again. Very kid friendly and breakfast all day menu is a good option for a stop off the Taconic on your travels.

Staying in the area it was nice to have good, home-cooked food within walking distance of the motel (Days Inn). The menu is enormous with American, Italian and Mediterranean dishes. All are reasonably priced. The dinner specials come with soup and salad, rolls, AND a dessert. And painfully, they tempt you by displaying the desserts right as you walk in (they all looked decedent). Portions are also more than adequate for the price. Very good meal.

Tonight my friend and I went to the Palace Diner. I ordered the Turkey Artichoke Panini and my friend ordered a Hot Roast Beef sandwich with Cheese. When we received our food the Turkey on my Panini was dry. My friends "Hot" Roast Beef sandwich was cold, the Roast Beef was torn up, looking like pulled pork, and the cheese looked like plastic. When we left she threw up... 15 minutes after leaving while still in their parking lot. We called to complain and asked for her money back due to this terrible inconvenience. The manager said, "15 minutes isn't enough for that to happen.". He also said, "She will not be getting a refund.". When I told him to come outside and look at the vomit for himself, he passed the phone to the poor waitress in the cross fire and made her tell us, "My boss said no.". I will never come there again. I would recommend you think twice before stepping inside there as well.

Just off the Taconic
This is our go-to spot after the flea market in Stormville. Big menu that will satisfy any craving you have. They give large portions and the food is fresh and hot. Good service. Never a bad meal here. Easy off-on from the Taconic,,, Take the Route 55 exit and go west for about a mile.

Like most diners you can get just about anything you want, from lobster to lox on a bagel...but what is truly unique about the Eveready is the awesome atmosphere! We go there after just about every school event for a milkshake and fries. Inevitably we meet several people we know and it makes the dining experience that much sweeter! A truly warm and friendly meeting place...a real gem in Hyde Park!
