We are a family run modern diner on Hwy 7 in Perth, Ontario. Come and enjoy one of our Hungry 7 cheeseburgers, fresh hot chicken sandwiches, or a delicious pasta and a glass of wine! Kids menu available. We are open Tuesday to Sunday, 11 am to 8pm.
Out with my Sister for the 2nd night in a row for dinner. What a difference from the night before. We walked into the Hungry 7 and were seated immediately, the waitress was cheerful and pleasant, took us directly to a table and asked what we would like to drink, while giving us each a menu.We each had water and I ordered a tea. These beverages were brought promptly and our dinner order was taken, we both ordered one of the specials - one a fettuccine and the other a penne. When the food arrived in about 15 to 20 minutes we were surprised as the night before at another Italian restaurant in Perth the food had taken almost 2 hours to reach our table. Both meals were very tasty and looked good on the plate. We enjoyed the meal and the time together which from walking in to leaving was just about 90 minutes.... we did without dessert although both options sounded delicious. Thank you to our waitress Aimee who helped to make our evening fun. A great meal and friendly atmosphere I would recommend this restaurant to all. A quick meal or a lingering meal this restaurant seemed to have it all.

Initially opened by local Ottawa native Penny Bell in 1994. She raised her daughters in the restaurant business; Dawn Bell owns and operates Michaels Table, and Pennyann Bell is Chef and Manager at Penny's Place. Becoming famous for breakfast in the earl
Taking the long scenic route from Ottawa to Toronto in a day we decided to delay breakfast & leave the uninspiring chains in Ottawa behind early and find a diner on the way. Missing a couple by having my 'driving blinkers' on & not responding quick enough the parking area here is so big I had plenty of warning to pull off the highway in plenty of time. It's always good to find a chance find that's a popular & busy place which is the best recommendation anywhere can really have. Staff are very busy though so no time for a chat. We arrived as a table was being vacated and just in time for the breakfast menu too. Great choice of all the Canadian classics all home cooked & made to order which was a welcome change from so many restaurants. It's not the healthiest or most gastronomic food but it sure is the most satisfyingly hearty, warming & tasty comfort food you'll get. The portions were very good too and as lunch started being served while we were there we could see they looked huge plate fulls too.A great find, fun & atmospheric for any travelling tourist in a truly fine local establishment & made the journey so much more pleasant too.Wow! What an incredible review. We try to provide our consumers with a delicious and hearty meal that takes you back to when breakfast was homemade. We are slowly introducing new and exciting dishes to our customer while maintaining our country classic diner feel. Itâs incredibly nice to be recognized for the work and effort we try to provide to our customers. There isnât much on the HWY these days from Ottawa to Toronto that isnât fast food. So itâs always nice to hear when people stumble upon us looking for something independent and local. Have a wonderful day and see you next time your on the road. Cheers!
Ontario, Canada Food Guide: 3 Italian food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Perth
Found prices high, club house is $11.25 doesn't seem bad until you get the food, small plate with a hand full of fries (greasy not crispy) club was on the smallest bread I have seen each quarter was bite size. My wife had a grilled bacon and cheese with onion rings cheese wasn't very melted. They forgot the onion rings and I had to ask for them, place wasn't busy just two tables.Place has dated Decore old furniture and overall looks dirty. Walls green but lots of dirt marks. Menu is in duo tangs. I am not a big fan of McDonalds but it would have better than this.Meal cost $31. For above and two cans of pop.
