We stopped for breakfast. Service was prompt...just the two of us...diner not crowded on Monday morning.Donât expect much for decor. This is a small diner in the country. The place is clean. Please do not misinterpret my meaning. Service was friendly. We enjoy eating in diners and this one did not disappoint.Access is easy off of I-5 which is great for travelers. The chicken fried steak breakfast was very good. It is not easy to find / happen upon good chicken fried steak. I love gravy on the hash browns so that was quite welcome.

This place is in a truck stop next to a tobacco store. It looks a little rode-hard on the outside. The inside was a bit worn (booth seats ripped in spots) but charming, clean, bright, and spacious. I am a healthy vegetarian and the lunch menu did not have many options. They serve breakfast all day and I ate a delicious fluffy Greek omelette covered in melted feta. The hash browns were crispy and not greasy and they grilled my English muffin under a griddle press. Very impressive and yummy! If you eat meat, their burger menu is extensive. If you are vegan, you need to find another spot. Thank you Ruth. This location has been a staple of the community for a very long time and has a certain feel along with the appearance. We do intend some remodeling this Spring with seats and the interior. We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review.

Oh boy. Just got back from a satisfying dinner out with my family. Food was delicious and service was fast & friendly. I had a tasty burger (their ranch is so good) and my wife & son split the club sandwich, which they devoured. We also shared a delightful chocolate shake. Weâll be back. To quote my son âwe love this place!â

We are believers that fresh beef tastes better than frozen beef. The promise of a never-frozen patty was enough to convince us to order burgers. The burgers were good, and so were the fries and shakes. Our server was friendly, attentive, and accurate with our orders. The décor and music were targeted toward a Baby Boomer audience. But the music was pleasant enough, and the booths and chair were comfortable.

Whenever we come here, I feel like I am in a small town diner. Many customers seem to be regulars based on the greeting that you hear from the staff. Service is excellent, coffee is kept topped off. Their breakfast potatoes are fantastic, I always pay the extra 50 cents for the peppers and onions to be added. Portions are generous. The create your own omelet is almost always my choice.

We stumbled upon this place by accident as our targeted spot didnât open until 9 am for breakfast. Huh? Must be owned by some night owls. Anyway, this was a typical grungy Washington State dive. No glamour here, not that it mattered, just a divey old school counter and booth establishment that needed a good power washing both inside and out. I was expecting to order breakfast but happened to see a patron nearby get a burger. Iâm a lunch all day gal vs. a breakfast one, so I decided to ask the server if the 11 am rule for sandwiches could be broken. He assured me It could, so I ordered the patty melt - a beef burger, covered in cheese and sautéed onions served on griddled and buttered rye bread. Hadnât indulged in awhile so was really hoping this greasy spoon could deliver the goods. Partner ordered corned beef hash, fried eggs, hash browns and toast. We are from the low country aka the âslow countryâ so longer wait times at restaurants is the norm. These folks were seriously laid back and chill, so everything moved at a snailâs pace. We werenât in a rush, so all was good.Except when we got the food. Iâm willing to wait for any decent meal, but my melt was not pretty from the get go. That poor patty had been cooked until it was bone dry. The see through piece of cheese added nothing to the sandwich, and all those glorious sautéed onions were playing hide and seek. The rye bread was good, but it overshadowed everything in between and just helped the dry sandwich become a desert that required a swig of Diet Coke to get a bite down. Ugh. Partnerâs eggs were returned as they still jiggled after he asked for the yolk broke and very well done. We left the place feeling nothing but the desire to never return.
