Busting our daughter who lives in Kansas City and we took her family here for a late breakfast. We were told our wait would be 10 minutes and 30 minutes later we were seated. Waitress came by for drink orders and did not come back to take our food order for another 20 minutes. When she brought our drinks we told her we were ready to order and she said she couldnât take our our because a larger group was seated prior to us. Food was good. Cup of coffee with not worth $2.29. Very busy, very noisy so just make sure you have no other plans when you go here to eat. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience and we are so sorry that this happened during your visit. Clearly, we fell short of your expectations and ours. Denny's was close to our hotel so we went there a couple nights since it was within walking distance.Ate there three nights. Food was okay. Service was good.

We decided we hadnât tried City Diner. So, after a Saturday morning of suburban shopping, we hit River Market for lunch. Classic diner menu. Friendly servers. Very casual. Plenty of parking across the street. My wife had the Italian steak sandwich and tater tots (huge portion). I couldnât resist the pork tenderloin sandwich and onion rings (both meals pictured). Now, to return for breakfast sometime. Hours are 6am-2pm daily.

We were told to come here for a good dive burger. That it was! Tasty and cheap. The griddled onion and cheese that melted in was a great flavor bomb. I was also told to get the hash browns over fries. I wasn't a fan of hash browns before, and hate them even more. They were undercooked and someone bland. The chili cheese fries made up for it though!Service seemed put out by the fact people wanted to eat there.
