Heard good things about Lasko's when they first opened so we gave them a shot. Food certainly OK but I have particularly high expectations as I typically only eat a places with many TripAdvisor excellent ratings. Don't know, didn't check Lasko's current TA reviews and we may have hit them at a difficult time in their startup.I always order the two eggs, meat, toast and coffee first time to access their breakfast with this common breakfast to see how they do with the basics. OK but again nothing to move Lasko's to my Midland favorites list.

Large portions and hearty breakfasts are what they are known for. Their lunch menu is pretty good too. Omelettes, huge Cinnamon Roll, and Pancakes are always good. For sandwiches the Prime Rib French Dip, Meatball Sub and Chicken Wrap are good choices. Friendly servers - Wendy is the best!

A friend and I chose this cute little place to catch up for breakfast. Not only was the food good (the cinnamon toast was delish!) but the server was attentive and pleasant. She kept the coffee coming and didn't seem to mind us being there a while. There were a lot of people coming & going and seemed to be quite a few regulars. It's a bit off Eastman Road so you have to watch for it. Great morning!

Sid's has been around forever and they have great lunches on Spatz bread or other homemade sandwiches and soups. During Lent they have fantastic fish dinners. Cook to order lightly breaded comes with your choice of one side coleslaw and a roll. They have homemade pies for dessert. Reasonably priced and served hot! Dinners are Fridays in Lent only.
