I have been to this restaurant in different incarnations....the last name was Best Friends Restaurant (there is also one in Geneva, Ohio). I don't know if this is the same ownership or just a name change to avoid confusion....but whatever the situation, the food is good and it is definitely a "family restaurant". There is a clean salad bar which also has "desert options". The portions of the food are large, so you may be taking food home with you. I have gotten the pierogies a few times and they were very good. I have also had the coconut shrimp which was also very good. If you are looking for a small place to eat that is fairly quiet, has good food, large portions, and can take a family to....and are in the neighborhood of Center Street near the exits/entries to Rt 2, strip mall with Ollies, Big Lots, etc....this may be the place for you.

After checking Trip Advisor, and reading the great reviews, my sister and I headed over to Fairport Family Restaurant for an early dinner. It was better than we even imagined. The food was all homemade and delicious. Our dinners came with soup and a salad and the portions were beyond generous. I had the beer battered haddock, one of the daily specials. My sister had meatloaf. We were both deliriously happy with our choices. The prices are great, especially my sisters meatloaf, as it was from the 'senior' section. Finally I must say, our server, Kelsey was the icing on the cake! She is absolutely the happiest, kindest, most efficient server I have ever had.

Come on...where else you going to go I'm mentor and jump into a time warp and eat lunch in a classic well kept diner. What a place. The sounds, the smell, the feel, the taste all sets that tone of the 50's. The food, spot on! Classic burgers, fries and malts. This is one place you want to check out.
