We had a wonderful dinner at the Rosebud Kitchen. Although we were a relatively big group, the staff figured out how to seat us outdoors (which was great because the weather was beautiful). The food was delicious. Our favorites: Greek cauliflower; crispy half + half (onion rings and french fries -- decadently good); Mediterranean mezze platter; vegan rice bowl. The desserts were fabulous. Waitstaff were attentive and helpful. Such a fun evening. We look forward to returning!

First thing to know: This is a modest-looking place on a blue-collar street. If you're looking for upscale brunch or the ambience of a Westin, keep driving - Kelly's won't make you happy. But for a consistently good breakfast with friendly, efficient service, very reasonable prices and an authentic old-time diner feel, you can't do much better. In several visits, we've stayed with basics - eggs, French toast, bacon, sausage, pancakes, orange juice, coffee. Every time, it's a solid, pleasing meal. I'd rate the food at least as good as the significantly more expensive Johnny's Luncheonette. Generous portions. Most importantly with the meat, expect reliable ingredients: The bacon is good bacon, not strips of blackened fat. The servers are particularly good with children. We bring our grandson, and every time the staff has crayons and a page for drawing, some bending straws, etc. They're careful not to put silverware or hot coffee near him, and Kelly's delivers a wonderfully fun Mickey-shaped pancake that he loves every time. Guaranteed we'll be back here over the summer.

What a great place. Who knew there could be a fairly classic diner with everything either vegan or vegetarian? I had the Shepherd's Pie with quinoa, portabello mushrooms, and more. My wife had one of the several versions of a veggie burger, our daughter another and our son-in -law the daily blue plate, which was Swedish "meat" balls, mashed potatoes, etc. We all loved what we had.
