My wife and I, along with a friend (who recommended that we three eat at Charlie's) visited Charlie's for breakfast at lunchtime. We noticed here on Trip Advisor that Charlie's is known for very large servings. I will be posting photos that will certainly show this was not the case for our breakfast. Usually an omelette will come with more than one addition (we selected pancakes). I was also looking (as an example) for hash browns in addition to pancakes with our omelette. On the positive side, our omelette was certainly good and the toast was precisely as we prefer, dark and crispy. The hot cakes were average (but we did get a mini-pitcher of syrup and not five little packets which we dislike). We had to wait approximately 25-minutes as Charlie's was very busy. So while the omelette was good, it was not exceptional and we have to rate our overall experience as average. Because Charlie's was so very busy our poor server did the best she could to wait on us. The value the cost of our meal was very good. Charlie's is a very cost effective venue.

The family was looking for a lunch option in "downtown" Clawson and found the Clawson Grill just down from the main intersection. This traditional diner was packed for lunch (or was it very late breakfast) on a Saturday.Good experience: friendly service and generous portions.
