Stopped for breakfast on the way south down route 9 on the way to the beach towns. Had a very good and reasonably priced breakfast of eggs, potatoes, rye toast, and coffee. Seemed to be a popular local place with a friendly staff.

I've always loved this diner, but never so much as this last weekend. We were in NJ for a somber family event and wanted someplace for family and friends to sit and talk and eat before we all headed our separate ways. I was having trouble, since most places I called opened later or couldn't seem to understand that our bringing them 20+ people, not all of whom were previous customers, could only help them. Then I rememberd the Jackson. I spoke to Joanie , who left notes for the rest of management, spoke to Chris who reminded me to call before we all left for the diner so they could set up an area for us and we were set! As always, the best part was the staff. Friendly, skilled and real. The food was no slouch either, as we worked our way though salads, omeletes and great burgers, among other things. We probably overstayed a little but no one pushed us to leave, which honestly would have been like herding cats (I love cats too, but I'm not crazy enough to try to organize them!)Several of us hung out around the fountain outside so we were there to see the staff doing yet another good deed. An elderly woman, who seemed to be lost and who was having trouble communicating, was wandering around. We saw half the staff keeping an eye on her and looking into other places in the complex thinking she might have accidentally walked away from her. family. The staff members actually found her family and reunited them. These folks deserve to do well and you'll do well eating there.

My wife and I ate at the Bistro section of the restaurant as the other half was full with young families and very noisy. The parking is tight, they need more. The food was fantastic and the service was outstanding. The portions were huge. My wife order the corned beef Rubin and it came stacked high with thickly cut slices of beef on home made bread. I ordered the schnitzel. I got three huge chicken patties, smothered in a mushroom gravy, fresh salad and saute vegies. We both took home leftovers. The prices are very reasonable. My meal was only $20. That much food for only $20. The Bistro was mostly couples and individuals. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Now we need to come back and try their other burgers!This was a new place and I was going out with a group who suggested we try it! I had the waffle burger with hash browns and facon and an amazing burger! One piece of advice DONT order it on a date!! My wife had the spinach chicken burger and is was fresh and Delicious! I wasnât impressed with the chicken fried steak but what would a yankee know about southern food anyway! I will be back to try the âbrooklynâ and their brisket... enjoy!

Breakfast was fine but nothing to write home about. The bacon was thin and flimsy and the hot chocolate was also very thin (made with water or skim milk I'd guess). If you like omelettes I've never seen so many options so would be a good choice then.

Nice friendly staff and for a good price. Potatoes were ok but the pancakes were great. The had the flat round sausage which is not really my thing I prefer the traditional link. Eggs were good and love the glass ketchup bottles. Love watching the kids live the struggle.

This is the place I would take someone to experience a top-quality fresh tasting diner. Itâs a classic located on the way to point Pleasant in brick New Jersey. The bagel and lox platter is amazing to look at with extra lettuce and everything. The steak dinner for Wonderful and a turkey dinners are excellent as well.
