Had breakfast here once, year ago probably and it was very good. In the area today and it was lunchtime, so... Had one of their daily specials for lunch. It was Salisbury Steak. Looked and tasted homemade, which is good! It came with a creole sauce that didn't really resemble any creole sauce I've ever had, but it tasted good and went well with the Salisbury Steak. It came with 2 sides and a corn muffin. The corn muffin was tasty. Crispy in the outside and soft on the inside. Excellent. Sides were mashed potatoes, which were very good, and stewed cabbage. Now listen up, the cabbage had spices in there and, WOW, it was great. Stewed cabbage! Who'd have guessed it could be so good! Sat at the bar and service was great despite the waitress busting her tail with other duties during the lunch rush. I'll definitely go back when I'm on that side of town. All in just over 7 bucks, plus a good tip, for a great plate full of food from great folks. Thank you for your awesome review. We truly appreciate your business as well as your kind feedback. We strive to make everyoneâs experience a pleasant one. Hope to see you back real soon. Thank you again. GO VOLS

Don Delfi's serves a most ample, satisfying breakfast and it is open on Sunday, which adds to the appeal because most non-chain restaurants in Knoxville are closed on Sundays. The menu is extensive with mostly diner type selections but these dishes are excellent. The restaurant's breakfast specialty appears to be the Skillet dish, which comes with three eggs on top of meat and potatoes prepared in a variety of styles and with varying ingredients, including chorizo as well as vegetarian. Whatever you get in a Skillet, you are unlikely to need lunch later in the day. It's a lot of food for dishes costing in the $9 to $11 price range. They also have a variety of omelets in the same price range. The facilities are large, clean and bright. Service is prompt and efficient. My coffee cup was refilled five times without my asking!

One of my favorite lunch places. They have a wonderful menu but I always get the vegetable soup with corn bread muffins. Oh my goodness, it is the best I have ever had. Perfect combination with some sweet tea. Great service. Can't wait to go back soon!
