Taylor Ham and scrambled eggs with hash browns n toast filled me up this Thursday morning after a short flight from Florida. The service was great and side of creamed chip beef fantastic. The chocolate chip pancakes were perfect fillers for the little girls and our table.

Just about everything on the menu in this place is good, from French toast and baconto Hot open face sandwiches to their specials, like roast chicken, stuffed peppers, eventhe Italian food (unusual for most diners) like spaghetti and meatballs is good.I eat here several times a week and the service is the best you'll find anywhere.
We were in town for a soccer game. This place had the best reviews out of all the breakfast joints. We went around 9am on a Sunday. The place was empty. It's cash only (which we weren't aware). Menu was decent, prices low. The waitress was rude and pushy. Food wasn't terrible, but I definitely wouldn't visit again.

On a full weekâs vacation for the Wawa Welcome America Festival in Philadelphia, weâd finished visiting attractions for the day. After checking in at the La Quinta Inn next door, we went to the Philly Diner for a light meal.We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress came by for our beverage orders and returned with them a minute later. It took awhile to go through the multi-page menu.We both ordered the Meatball Parmigiana Sandwich at $8.49. It was served on an Italian roll with tomato sauce and melted Provolone cheese. For sides, we took onion rings, coleslaw, and a pickle spear. It was about a 15-minute wait for our food. The meatballs and cheese in the subs were very good. We were happy with our meals. We decided to eat here again on our second night at the La Quinta Inn.The second time, I ordered the Grilled Marinated Breast of Chicken Deluxe at $7.49. It was served on a bun with lettuce and tomato. French fries, coleslaw, and a pickle spear came on the side. My friend ordered the Chicken Breast Parmigiana Dinner at $11.99. It was served with spaghetti and tomato sauce. It was about a 20-minute wait for our food. As soon as I spotted the piece of overcooked chicken in my sandwich, I sent it back immediately. My friendâs dinner was fine. When the replacement chicken breast came about 15 minutes later, it was cooked properly. It was good.Again, service was very good. The place was clean.Averaging everything out, we rate the Philly Diner at 4.0 If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below.

On a full weekâs vacation for the Wawa Welcome America Festival in Philadelphia, weâd switched hotels to be closer to South Philadelphia attractions for a few days. The Philly Diner and Dennyâs were adjacent to the La Quinta Inn & Suites we stayed at. Weâd already eaten at the Philly Diner. Another night we ate at Dennyâs.My friend ordered the Chicken Breast Parmigiana Dinner. I ordered the Grilled Chicken plate with rice and mixed vegetables. It was about a 20-minute wait for our food. As soon as I spotted the piece of crusty, dried-out, overcooked, and singed chicken on my plate, I sent it back immediately. My friendâs dinner was satisfactory. The meatballs were large and very tender. The sauce was tasty. While waiting, I ate the rice and vegetables. Those were okayThe replacement chicken breast came about 15 minutes later. It was cooked properly. It was dressed up with some pasta sauce and shredded Parmesan cheese. It was good.Service was good. The place was clean.Averaging everything out, we rate the Philly Diner at 3.50. If you found this review helpful, please click THANK below.
