The moment I landed at Atlanta Hartsfield Int'l, and got out of baggage claim and picked up by my local friend "Toad" - we went straight to THE Waffle House nearest my hotel in Stockbridge, GA (Tues. 05/07/19). It was so greasy and good!!! I had the Pecan Waffle with crispy bacon (Yum!!) and a Patty Melt on the side. I devoured it quickly. Our waitress was very friendly and overall the service was excellent. FIVE CLAWS UP!!!!! Very relaxed environment. Large portions. Served hot and fairly quickly. I had chicken fried rice and it was freshly made and very tasty. Really friendly staff. Very extensive menu. I love going to and supporting old diners. This one was better than most.

We stopped here looking for a meal before heading to the airport and this seemed to be the best choice. It was really crowded and the food was the standard Chick-Fil-A choices. I didnât see a sit down restaurant but there was lots of memorabilia on the walls explaining its history. Cool to eat in the original.

My husband loves Waffle House and REALLY wanted to share his experience with our kids and me. On our drive from WI to FL, we finally had an opportunity to experience it ourselves. The menu includes all of the calorie counts for those of us who might want to find the healthiest option. FYI - breakfast is high in calories, with not many healthy options except maybe oatmeal. My husband and kids had pecan waffles, which he loved and the girls thought were a little too sweet. One thing my husband tells us you can always count on at a Waffle House is the very friendly service at every location including this one.
