And there are about 20 options to choose. Hamburguer, Baccon burguer, Chiken burguer, pork loin burguer, filet steak burguer and much more, beside hot dogs. If you think the normal size is too much for you, you can choose the MINI options... which anyway are about 50% bigger than a BigMc.

Easily reached from the cityâs center, Fontana Prime Burguer claims itâs the first âgourmetâ burger joint in Caxias do Sul. They pride themselves in having all-fresh ingredients and having an especial attention to their burgerâs details. Their burger patties are done in house, and their buns are artisanal.The place is well-decorated and fairly clean, have two stories and can easily accommodate large parties. In the first story thereâs the kitchen (which you can see through a large window) and the bar.We visited the place in a windy, cold Saturday night and, though the place was somewhat full when we arrived, we were happily greeted by the friendly staff and shown the available tables. The staff is one of the high points of the place â all of them very kind, available and glad to be of assistance. This was observed not only in our table, but with everybody. They seem to really enjoy their work and it makes everybody feel at ease.Their burger menu is large and, quite frankly, itâs difficult to choose one option. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, they also a special burger featured in the âChefâs Selectionâ â a different burger every couple of weeks (according to our waitress). They also carry a very interesting selection of beers (including alcohol-free options, which are rare in Caxias) and wines, plus milk-shakes and juice as well. For dessert, they have gelatos.I tried the âFranceâ burger, with spicy jelly and cheddar cheese. The order arrived quickly (quicker than itâs expected from a burger joint around here) and the presentation was beautiful. The potato wedges (you can choose between French fries and potato wedges with your burger) were nicely laid and well-seasoned with spices and rosemary. A small cup of mayonnaise (home-made) also comes with the order. But letâs talk about the star of the show: the burger was good, really good indeed, but not outstanding. The bread was clearly fresh and crispy (as it should be), the vegetables were fresh and the cheese was good. The burger patty was medium-rare, as it also should be and, though it was very tasty, it wasnât spectacular. But what really made the burger steer from greatness was the spicy jelly: too sweet and not spicy at all. It did not match the rest of the burger, and its over-sweetness tasted weird with the meat. The size of the burger was also good â not too big nor too small, just right to make oneâs feel satisfied without feeling bloated.The burger may fall a little short from expectations if youâre used to other âgourmetâ and artisanal burgers. It doesnât hold a candle to what is available in Porto Alegre, but itâs definitely a step up from other options available in Caxias do Sul (and the rest of the Serra Gaúcha, really, being comparable only to the burgers served at Café Blauth in Farroupilha).All in all, it was a good experience, made even better because of the staff, and a place that I can recommend for those wanting a decent burger in Caxias do Sul.PS: For those driving: there are a few parking places right at Fontanaâs door, but these tend to be always full. The side street is quiet and safe to park.

These hamburguers place in Caxias do Sul have a peculiar kind of sandwich, different from all other cities, they are giant and very good!I used to go a lot on this place, but after they build the new place, despite it is beautiful, the service gets worse day after day... I went a few months ago and we stayed waiting for 15 minutes, all the waitress saw us, one gave us the menu and no one came back to take our order, we left after 30 minutes waiting...A lot of friends are complaining too, about wrong orders, wrong checks, bad service, everything...By the way, is the most expensive place to go to eat that food! It's around R$60 for a couple!Definately a place that I will not go back again!

I had already gone to Croasonho many times and the food was always good. It is a restaurant that serves many dishes of delicious hot croissants with lots of stuffing. They serve too executive dishes, salads and many kinds of drinks, like milkshakes, coffees, ice tea⦠You can choose the flavor of your croissant and the size you want.The place has tables with armchairs or you can eat at the counter. Itâs a cosy place with a nice design. There are three Croasonhoâs restaurants in Caxias do Sul. You can go to Croasonho on Monday to Saturday from 10a.m to 10p.m. on Sundays and holidays from 4p.m to 10p.m.Never before had I seen the diversity of 43 flavors of croissants in a restaurant. Itâs a really nice place to visit, the food is great and I always have been well served, but you need to be with time because at certain times you have to wait a lot.
