A typical southern sandwich shop and eatery. Real fresh burgers quite good I must say if good southern local food is your thing you will be well served here. Wait staff is typical southern solid and friendly. Smallish establishment but a great eatery worth a visit.

The vegetables are fresh, and seasoned perfectly.....just try the turnip greens! They are not the chopped, out-of-a-can kind, but the old-fashioned whole leaves. The pickled beets are wonderful and the mac and cheese is delicious. If you catch the fried okra or fried green tomatoes on the menu, order them. The bread is fresh baked, both the cornbread muffins and the yeast rolls. The tea is super sweet, so if you are like me you may want to have them mix with unsweet. If you like home-made food, try Roy's. I guarantee you'll go back.

Have not been here in a VERY long time. Place has been remodeled and is MUCH nicer than before. Went here with a friend for Veteran's breakfast. He had a skillet breakfast. BOTH were very good!!Food and service are MUCH improved!!
Butcher's Block is a traditional "Meat and 3" lunch spot, which is not a meal I enjoy. That being said, they also offer a long list of sandwiches, burgers, and salads.A month ago I had an amazing juicy burger at Butcher's Block. On Friday I had the week's special, a Philly Cheese Steak. Just delicious!
