Been here probably 15 times when traveling through Connecticut. Great meal. Had kreplach soup with a not enough filling in the kreplach but still delicious. The tongue sandwich was absolutely delicious. My colleague had a hummus sandwich which was not a great one.

This place is next to another restaurant with not much of a parking lot. It's kinda artsy and eclectic. One each table is a set of playing cars. You are surrounded by local art that you can buy. There is a back room which the walls are covered in art to purchase and some hand made items as well. There are two arcade games to play as you wait for your food. The dining are is descent size with a walk up and sit counter top as well as table and chairs. We ordered are food of an omelet and eggs with meat. My friend got the sausage and it was a little undercooked. My omelet was good. They do have a lot of choices but nothing that wowed me. The service was good but not memorable. I wouldn't rush to come here but I also won't just drive by.

Rarely do I have deli food, especially bagels. But a friend insisted that we eat here. The counter server suggested an "everything bagel" with my smoked salmon. It was great tasting. Went well with chicken noodle soup. Pleasant surprise, since I like neither bagels nor chicken soup, together. Coffee is excellent (go away Starbucks!) Another reliable stop while doing errands, gym stop, work lunch. Next time I'll try the pastries.Check out the gift coffee mugs.
I'm sad to say that this Subway in South Windsor is poor and not up to the quality I expect from a South Windsor business. Yet it's usually crowded at mealtimes, with slow service.Maybe I've been spoiled by the Subway in East Hartford on School Street! The employees and owner are super friendly and very accommodating. Their serving sizes are much more generous than at any other Subway. So I've been to the South Windsor Subway about 4 times and I've been disappointed each time. The employees are very young, impatient and unfriendly -- they just don't look happy to be working. The servings are stingy. The employees won't do anything extra like give you a small container of extra tomato sauce for your meatball sub or put your salad dressing on the side in a container.I'd rather drive out of my way to go to the East Hartford Subway than go to this one in my own town.
