Recently was in NYC for Book Expo. This little gem was a few minutes from my hotel, "Yotel" and The Javits Center where BEA is held. I ate at least one meal here for 4 days. Lots of great buffet choices that you can customize to your taste and pay by weight. They had several counters where other hot items could be ordered. And their juice/smoothie/coffee bar was excellent! There is nothing you could want that you couldn't find here and it is a curated inventory of healthy, nutritious choices. And it was super busy, so everything in the buffet was always fresh. The service was great. And there is a small eating area if you don't want to take it to go. Prices were reasonable for the quality.

For lunch on Saturday we only waited 5-10 minutes for a table. Once seated, we were not rushed to order, eat or leave. I had the combo sturgeon/salmon/eggs/onions with bialy and husband had a Reuben. Both were delicious (my bialy was blah, but I had never had one before to compare it to). Husband had iced tea, and our bill was $52. So, itâs not cheap but it is delicious!

You have to wait 30 minutes to get your lunch sandwich but it's well worth it. Come before 11am or after 4pm if you want to purchase anything other than sandwiches. They have lots of italian packaged goods : pasta, panetone, pesto but none of these are fresh - they are shelf items. They also have mixed olives, marinades artichokes, red peppers and a few cold cuts.
