Just arrived in town for a family visit and was starved. My son wanted to stop at Firehouse Subs as he had been there a couple times. To start with we did find out that there was a nationwide shortage of pickles, which was unknown to us. I thought Ohio was doing pretty good in the pickle department. I had a tuna sub which was not on the wall menu but was in the online menu. They were able to make it and it wasnât bad. But what really dings this place is that I got a combo which usually includes a drink and chips. I donât drink pop and so I asked for a bottle of water which they did have. I was told that was not what a combo was and I was given a cup for the pop machine. Got my water, set it on the table, stepped away for a few minutes, came back and noticed that my water wasnât clear but light brown. Dumped it, ran the water for a minute or so then got some more. Same thing. We told the girl at the counter and she said she would check it out which we never saw her do. Eventually we went up and bought a bottle of water. Burnt cheesesteaks for LRAFB! You got to try them once....then keep driving down to Sonic. Transit TDY students keep this place open. Instructor kick-backs, or bad joke to get them back on time!
