Lovely little sausage shop with Eastern European sausages, cold cuts, deli type items, some baked goods and fantastic rye and other breads. Some dairy items, canned goods, pickles, jams candies, cards, chocolates, frozen Pierogies and other imported goodies. Limited hours, get there early on Thursday for the best selections.
I ordered a Chicken Lime salad, and requested the apple offer. The dish was tasty, with cheese, corn, lime dressing. However, there was fewer greens, and more ground up chips. This is not apparent in the menu listing, and disappointing, for I do not eat chips, Found it unusual that this filler is used, as there were only traces of chicken. I left with more hunger after eating. Do not order this salad as a main dish.

I liked that I was able to get in and out quickly and the food was good for a sub. The people were friendly.

The menu looks impressive, I ordered a Skip La Due large sandwich, (corned beef, pastrami, thousands islands dressing, swiss cheese). The sub roll is dense and chewy with the consistency of foam rubber, with all of the great Italian bakeries in the area, why not use Italian sub rolls with the crispy crust and light airy center? The meats and cheese were lacking in both quantity and quality, and the thousand island dressing was not good (really strong pungent taste). The menu should tell what kind of bread each sandwich is made on, for the Skip La Due the menu says it comes on rye, but I'm guessing that is just for the small and medium sizes, the large comes on a sub roll. Very disappointing, expected much better from what I thought was a "real deli".

Always looking to try different things, I found this place near where I work and decided to try it. Located just off the main drag in a small house, the restaurant is on the second floor and is filled with various pictures and items celebrating Polish culture.Downstair is one table you can eat at, a deli area and a number of food items from jellies to cookies you can purchase. I went for the lunch special which included a choice of a few items of which I choose Fresh Polish Sausage which came with 6 pierogi's, onions and sour cream. For my palate, I should have gone for the Smoked Sausage instead but it was a hearty lunch and I loved the pierogi's as the best I have had in the area. This is a place that I will be looking to go back to when the mood hits.I really want to try the hunter's bacon sometime.

All meat at Swan Market is hand-cut, all sausage hand-made by owner Barry Fischer, who apprenticed with German master butchers to bring you a taste of Germany that's authentic down to the last detail. Swan's renowned German lunches are served Wednesday th
Weâd wanted a stop for lunch on route from Connecticut to Toronto. Checked on TripAdvisor, we picked their #1 eatery in Rochester - Swan Market. Drove in Rochester under major rain, the market/restaurant was on a long street in a sketchy residential neighbourhood. The restaurant has only 3 long communal tables. Be very prepared to share table with lotâs of locals/people from all walks for lunch. We sat with a 3 generations-grandfather, father and 12 year old son and a brand new parents with their 1 month old son. The staffs are very friendly and efficient. We had the sausages sampler, and another lunch sampler meaning we had tried most of their known produces. A big counter at the opposite end of the restaurant had all the sausages and German made products, jams, bread for sale. It was the closest way to get to Germany. Get your own experience!
