Ipswich River General Store is our "go to" spot when we head up from Boston for an afternoon at Crane Beach. They offer a wide range of sandwiches, wraps and salads. Daily specials are posted on a blackboard. Everything is fresh and made-to-order. The Ipswich River Italian and the Horseradish Roast Beef Wrap are favorites. Don't pass up the Key Lime pie when it's available. Their carrot cake and cookies are also worth checking out. The parking lot can get crowded around lunch time, but you can usually slip into a spot a block away at the public boat launch.

it's a nice grocery store with fresh fruits & vegetables and great sandwiches, you get quite some snacks, chocolates etc. from other countries - but it's definitely not the cheapest place
