Reviews on Deli food in Cotswolds, England, United Kingdom. The Cotswolds (/ˈkɒtswoʊldz/ KOTS-wohldz, /-wəldz/ -wəldz) is an area in south central England containing the Cotswold Hills, a range of rolling hills which rise from the meadows of the upper Thames to an escarpment, known as the Cotswold Edge, above the Severn Valley and Evesham Vale. The area is defined by the bedrock of Jurassic limestone that creates a type of grassland habitat rare in the UK and that is quarried for the golden coloured Cotswold stone. It contains unique features derived from the use of this mineral; the predominantly rural landscape contains stone-built villages, historical towns and stately homes and gardens. The population of the District is about 84,000.

At The Grape Escape Wine Bar and Merchant every glass tells a story. From our exciting and eclectic list of wines, we offer a different selection by the glass every week. Come and savour a favourite from a famous Old World producer or taste an unusual var
Great wine bar run by Ant and Zoe. We call in after the races in Oct, Dec, Jan and April. The welcome is great and the wine is superb. They always have a good range at modest prices and then the Coravin range where you can try pricey wines by the glass. We start off sensibly and then after a discussion with Ant get involved in the more serious stuff. £2 of nibbles and £98 of wine is a trap willingly fallen into. Definitely plan to walk back to your hotel. I know where our pension money would go if we were locals - fortunately we live in Kent.

As always the starters and mains were excellently cooked, presented and served: the dining experience however is not all that matters in creating an enjoyable evening. However, to maintain its reputation in the competitive Nailsworth market, I think that William's Kitchen will have to improve its access to, and the facilities provided in its bathrooms. The stairway, landings and bathrooms are really below standard and let down the otherwise excellent experience. From the top of the stairs you are faced with views of storage and back of house facilities that do not do justice to the downstairs environment, and the new guest might not find their way to the bathroom due to lack of signage. We are fans of William's, but do wonder if they could do better in this regard?
