Hadn't been in many years, and was surprised to see how both the surrounding area and restaurant's appearance had changed - built up tremendously. Luckily, the quality of the food and the overall 'vibe' had not changed, and you still feel like you're in a tropical paradise.

We arrived to learn they were closing early due to hurricane readiness, but they seated us without telling us that they would be rushing us through the meal. The entree arrived minutes after the soup. Dessert was served after a couple of minutes with the entree. The check hit the table about 25 minutes after we sat down. On top of this, we ordered a $15 special to share (Sharing charge $7). The check arrived and we were charged $23 for the entree and $7 for sharing. We were told that the special price didn't apply if we were sharing and were rudely told that it was clearly posted. Would have been nice if we were told this by the waitress as we.could have had two complete dinners for the same price. Not to take away from the food, as it would have been good had we been given time to chew, but the reputation this place has for rudeness and inflexibility is very well founded. What frustrates me more is that the clientele consists mainly of senior citizens, and they seem to think nothing of treating their bread and butter with total disrespect. I say this, not only based on my experience, but also on things I've witnessed and a host of anecdotes related to me by others.

Stopped in for late lunch early dinner. Chicken soup did not have any chicken. Server was very nice about it, and returned with rubbery chicken. She tried, but not her fault. had a Spinich Knish as well. It was not prepared well, it had more potato than spinich and was lukewarm. The Cobb salad was very good. Had a muffin to go and thought $ 3.50 was a little excessive, since it was not very large and not that great tasting.We are saddened to hear that we did not meet all of your expectations, as ensuring the food we serve reflects our high standards is of paramount importance to us.
