We recently ate meals in the Goldenes Kreuz on two occasions during a stay in Steibis.Both times the meals were excellent and I was very impressed when was asked if I had a large appetite as the meal I had ordered came in a very large portion. I chose to have a smaller portion and was charged a reduced price for the meal.Very good service from a very friendly staff. It's probably a good idea to reserve a table on busy weekends as the restaurant was full on both the evenings that we ate there.My only reservation is that neither credit cards or normal debit cards are accepted for payment. German restaurants really do need to move into the 21st century.

In einem urigen, liebevoll dekorierten Blockhaus haben wir eine angenehme und leckere Ãberraschung erlebt.Wir wollten nur Saiblinge zum Grillen kaufen und sind gerne zu einem Mittagsimbiss geblieben. Besonders die Fischsuppe ist ein absolutes Highlight, groÃartig abgeschmeckt mit einen köstlichen Fischklöschen. Wir haben uns eingedeckt mit Räuchersaibling, frischem Fisch und einer Portion der feinen Suppe und hatten zuhause nochmal groÃe Freude.Der Service ist herzlich und die Chefin hat uns eine Menge erzählt über die Fischzucht und auch bissl Klatsch aus dem Dorf.Die Auswahl an Speisen ist nicht so groÃ, aber das, was da ist, kann man als sehr schmackhaft bezeichen (z. Bsp: der Kartoffelsalat)

The restaurant is located in a hotel of which the exterior is more traditional Bavarian. However, the restaurant is modern and attractive. The menu has something for everyone: meat, fish and veggie. The young chef is very enthusiastic and and serves delightful dishes. Highly recommended!Dear YogiMenM,thank you very much for the special Feedback.
