Reviews on Danish food in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen, Zealand. Frederiksberg is sort of a city within a city—though completely surrounded by Copenhagen, it’s technically its own municipality. It’s teeming with gourmet specialty shops, upscale shopping and charming cafés. But it’s also steeped in history and culture. An enormous park features romantic gardens, a Chinese pavilion, Greek-style temple and labyrinth. Take tour of the masterful baroque Frederiksberg Palace and enjoy the delicate exhibits of the Museum of Modern Glass Art.

Of all the great options for places to eat and things to do in Amsterdam this is #1. The basement location is quaint, comfortable. The menu is extensive traditional Danish, food presentation amazing and the tastes are delicious. The eel is the best, most unique dish Iâve eaten in Europe. The eel tastes like a unique combination of salmon and pork. The akvavit is a must. Our waiter was very informative and as my wife described himâcharming. Hussmanâs Vinstue opened in 1888, and itâs obvious why it has been around for so long...itâs the greatest!

Our bright basement restaurant in the heart of Vesterbro is where it all began in 2004, and Restaurant Cofoco is still one of a kind in our palette of dining options. Both the food and the decor is full of contrasts; the rustic and the elegant, the simple
Excellent quality dining, mussel soup delicious, scallops cooked to perfection, lovely steak with intensely flavoured tomatoe sauce, chicken "nuggets" like you've never had before, beautifully presented and served. Wine a little expensive but then it is everywhere in Copenhagen. Try it.

in a jazz bar, La Fontaine and the barman suggested we eat in Pony for a special treat. Ordered the Pony Kick set menu. All 4 courses were outstanding. The chef that cooks your plate brings it to serve it to you. The bread was piping warm and came with whipped butter. Amazing. The staff were really lovely. Nigel and Grainne

Visited Formel B on a Thursday evening, full house however nice distance between the tables to have private talks without having the feeling anybody was listening in. Informal interior like old bistro style, dark wooden tables. Waiters are informal as well maybe a little too much when considering this is a Michelin restaurant. Food was excellent, started with Lumpfish roe, then Alaska king grabs (cold), white fish and then the Signature dessert Buckthorn with meringue. We got a Chablis wine and finished with coffee and Grappa. A nice evening and we will for sure be back!

Mostly (maybe all?) vegetarian, but good food. Fantastic value for Copenhagen. I had chilli con carne, and my parter something a bit like a quiche. Along with a a decent all you can eat salad buffet. Tap water available on table or fairly priced drinks. Great atmosphere. Just clear up after yourself. Perfect.

Simple menu that changes often. We had the five course menu with wine pairing. All the dishes were delicious and perfectly prepared. The wine pairings were creative and worked very well. Can very much recommend. We are going back next time the menu is changed.

We had supper with friends and selected various courses to be served to everyone at the table. All were served as ( fairly) small plates. The star was the jerusalem artichoke soup, underpinned by a rich and reduced chicken broth and well married with smoked bacon. The texture and silkiness were on point - It was a very well judged dish. The initial plate of two langoustine with a crunchy salad was very fresh but not so memorable. The fried pike dish appealed - well it was fried - but not outstanding. Then for the (17) Danish cheeses plate. The owner / waiter had warned us to gird our loins. It was interesting and fun - but a little unnecessary and we would have preferred larger portions of 3 or 4 of the examples that we really liked. Pacing was rather slow and the service teetered on the edge of intrusiveness - but it was just food enthusiasm gone to the extreme. The wine list is well considered. Overall an experience we shall remember for a while.

We selected this restaurant for our special meal on a city break and we made a great choice. Staff were all very friendly and efficient and helped us to understand some of the local dishes. Krappakaka was great as was the cooler(!) lobster bisque. The venison special was outstanding. Copenhagen is not cheap but this restaurant was really good value. Highly recommendedDear guest,Thank you very much for your kind words. It was a pleasure having you as guests.Your recommendation is highly appreciated, and we will do all we can to live up to this in the future. From Eva and all the crew

This place is a small sandwich restaurant close (a few blocks) to the Copenhagen main train station. You could easily walk by; however, you will be missing out on a great sandwich experience. The guy behind the counter recommended the 1, 5 or 9. I went with the 9 and was not disappointed. Easily, one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. The one item that makes a sandwich great, not just good is the bread. The bread, texture and taste was excellent. Plus, extra points for being slightly toasted.Last the sandwich was a generous portion. You wonât leave hungry. I will definitely go again next time in Copenhagen.+ Good service+ Great value for the priceThank you very much for taking the time to review Smagsløget - we truly appreciate it. We hope to see you at your next visit in Copenhagen. :)

This is one of these CPH places where food is delicious - and pricy but worth it. The wine choice is excellent, and the staff is professional and relaxed. Top restaurant.
