Stylish restaurant in the city center on the Big Square. We use fresh and local ingredients and bake our own bread and desserts. On the tap we have our local beer Hradecký Klenot brewed right under the Restaurant. It is guaranteed that every visit to our
Very good own non filtered beer, nice place and tasty food. Pleasantly place with fast service. There is restaurant and downstairs is pub - there are tanks with beer.

We went here for a beer and some food- the beer, Plzen Urquel of course, was in poor condition and in opinion overpriced. We saw various plates of food emerge and they looked like the sort of food you get at the famous fast food eatery whose name starts with Mc- ie. Awful- so we decided not to eat there.

Traditional restaurant style; spacious; not so much privacy possible; good for standard dish with attentive waitress service. Prices adequate to food quality.

The evening we went it was very quiet as there was a beer festival elsewhere in town. We tried two beers each and I have to say that I was not that impressed with the quality of the beer- and I say that as a bit of a connoisseur of beer in general and Czech beer in particular. Maybe it was just a bad day?

We sat at an outside table with a view across the square of the old town for lunch. We had the homemade lemonade, melon flavour, which was nice and refreshing. My husband had the spinach soup starter which was very good and the veal main course which came with roast potatoes and salad. I had the pork with mushrooms, which came with sort of small dumplings. Both main courses were very filling, which unfortunately left no room for trying the cheesecake that we had seen on the desserts menu! Waiter spoke good English, which was helpful.

Dined here twice while staying locally, the first time was a Monday night so the slow service was not too unexpected, lower staffing expected etc.On the second occasion, a Thursday, there were 8 of us and if anything the service was slower. The food is decent quality if a bit expensive by local standards. We received dishes we did not order, things we did were not delivered without reminders and the staff missed hugely the opportunity to maximise the sale.We ordered a bottle of white and a bottle of red, we're not asked if we wanted more until we ordered desert, they could have doubled or better their drinks sales. It's not shortage of staff, there's lots ads of them, all friendly individuals but the sdirectors nose is that there is no overall control directing them, making sure tables are loud after evenly or potential high spending tables get a bit of extra attention. It's been here for years, I dined here about 7 years ago and it has not changed, a very pleasant building, lacking atmosphere somewhat, but you'd food and decent service would counter that.We were going to go back for lunch on our lad day, but have decided to take our custom elsewhere.

This small Czech pub has excellent food. The duck breast that I ordered was extremely tender and came with three nice potato pancakes, all in a light gravy with chopped walnuts. The breast had only a slight bit of pink color, so at first I thought it might have been overcooked, but in fact it was perfect; better than most duck dishes I've ordered elsewhere. I also had their cabbage soup, a large bowl with nice slices of sausage and a dollop of sour cream, and I washed all of this down with a Pilsner ale. The menu featured everything from pub appetizers to full entrees and desserts; it was available in English (and I imagine other languages as well). Delicious food and a chance to try the local fare, located very close to the historic main square.

We enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. We came early for lunch, had surf and turf, steak with salad and pork with rice and Teriyaki sauce. All was nice, the only disappointment was the mango panna cotta which didn't taste like panna cotta at all.The outdoor setting was very nice and cool on a hot day. Staff were really friendly.
