An excellent find. We stopped here for breakfast having crossed the Croatian border. The owner couldn't have been more accommodating. Very reasonably priced, wonderful coffee, good omelettes. Stunning mountain view too. Somewhat deceiving from the road front as the restaurant is quite large, when you go inside you don't expect to see the decor; it's charming and rustic. There's an outdoor pizza oven too. Exceptionally clean and they also offer accommodation.

Rose looked so pretty from up in Podi across the waters where we were based that we decided to drive over to visit and have lunch. Its not an easy journey â busy road, crowded ferry and bad roads, but it was worth the effort. Had a look at the Rose Resort restaurant but decided the Adriatic looked more interesting and much closer to the waters edge.I had grilled calamari stuffed with prawns on rice. It was the best meal I had during our stay in Montenegro. My partner had chicken breast stuffed with ham and cheese wrapped in bacon which he really enjoyed. The portions were large. Service can be a bit slow but we enjoyed the view so much it didnât really matter.We had thought to visit again before we left Montenegro but decided the long rough car journey was too much. Looked into getting a boat over but timings didnât work for us. Pity.

We stayed at a hotel where the closest beach was close to this cafe. Used by locals and a variety of food and drinks at very reasonable prices. Easy for a quick bite at lunchtime without going too far from the beach.

Great location and ambiance only enhances their homemade food.We went to MonkoviÄ 4 times during our stay in the area. Make sure to make a reservation if you want a seat by the river. Make the reservation by name âseat by the river or under the bridgeâ. Great authentic selections; we particularly enjoyed âpasticadaâ and âchicken in mushroomâ. BIG portions so come hungry.Service is great and the prices are very reasonable.We will go back to MonkoviÄ if we return to Gruda

Visited the restaurant for lunch and ordered the daily catch.The fish itself was good, but we could have gotten more than a handful fries for four persons with the side dishes.Unfortunately, the service was very slow. Even though there were only 2/3 other tables, it took almost an hour and a half to get our food.
