An elite Indian fine dining restaurant located within Hilton Hotel in the heart of whistler and base of Whistler Gondola. My Philosophy with food is that every Indian food is made delicious with the addition of herbs and spices during preparation. India i
Popped into Masala Bistro for a take-away after snowmobiling - it was convenient but on reflection wish we had gone to one of the Indian restaurants slightly further from our apartment.Food was expensive - even by ski resort standards - but unfortunately the quality didn't make up for this and justify their high prices. There was very little meat in any of the dishes, several of the base sauces were unrecognisable, rice stodgy and even the poppadoms were burnt.Very disappointing.

Decided to visit Aura again after we heard it had been given a make over. We had told friends how good the place was from our previous visit so decided to make an Easter outing of it. We went on Good Friday so were expecting it to be busy but actually it was quite quiet. There were 6 of us so getting ourselves organised for pre-dinner drinks wasn't as quick as the server would have liked. She said she'd come back but never did - eventually we ordered drinks and a couple of people said they'd go straight to the wine. Well, the drinks came but the wine didn't.The food was very good and we all enjoyed our first and second courses. Once we'd chosen our desserts, we never saw our server again. We weren't offered tea, coffee or digestifs and had to get up to ask someone for our bill. Those of the party that used the hotel washrooms said that they were dirty and untidy. All in all, not what we were expecting and disappointing when we had such a good experience last time. Marked down on service and making us feel welcome. Gets a good rating for the food which evens out at average. Sorry Aura - and you were so good for the Fort Berens pick up the day before!Dear guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your valued feedback. Please accept our sincerest apologies that your experience fell short on this occasion. I will be sure to share your comments internally with the relevant people in hopes that any future disappointment may be avoided. If you would like to discuss your visit in more depth please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly using the contact information below. With best wishes,Samantha [email protected]

No better place in Whistler to join friends for dinner than this patio. For starters, the scenery is beyond amazing with views of the mountains, glacial lake, watching the float planes arrive and viewing wildlife. Our server Becky was awesome with the perfect amount of enthusiasm, and professionalism to make our dinner experience top notch. Our friends were impressed with the wings and Nicoise salad. We had the fresh BC clams which were in a yummy sauce and the fish and chips. Make sure to make reservations especially on a nice day. Even tho they were packed we never felt rushed to leave. If you are looking for a great place to eat away from the busy hub of whistler village and experience quality food and ambiance this place won't disappoint. Make sure to save time to go for a nice stroll by the lake after.Thank you for providing all the amazing details and helping to spread the good word! We will share this with the culinary team and Becky - it is encouraging and motivational to read this feedback. Thank you again and we hope to see you again soon!
