Reviews on Contemporary food in St. Moritz, Swiss Alps, Switzerland. Although originally known as a summer destination, when the first snowflakes land in St. Moritz, so do the international scenesters, bundled up in the latest "Must Have" accessories. During winter, catch a ride on the Glacier Express from Zermatt to arrive in style. Cable cars ascend to three nearby mountaintops. Hundreds of miles of ski trails and a frozen lake comprise the area's most popular sports venues. Follow the Romans example and try one of the city's mineral springs, such as St. Moritz Bader.

It was a great evening. Service was good and the food was excellent. How ever overall the dishes were quite boring. I am looking forward to next winter when Tim Raue will run this place. Really looking forward to some Asian inspired dishes.

By far the best view, lovely place. They still try to sell you white Alba truffle at 14K CHF/Kg (down from 21K last winter) as most customers don't know you don't eat white truffle after November. They still charge you 8.50CHF for their "Qwellwasser" pretending it's free. Anyway, it's always worth a stop, notwithstanding food well below reasonable expectations and questionable price/quality ratio.

Purporting to be a high quality restaurant requiring a high standard of dress code, the food was excellent but the waiters reminded us of Faulty Towers as they were confused as to which tables they were meant to serve, and ended up having to be requested to provide table service. Not recommended.Dear guest Ian1238,I am very sorry to learn that you were not fully satisfied with the service of the waiters of our Grand Restaurant and would like to apologize personally for the inconvenience. At the same time I would like to thank you for giving us a honest and constructive feedback, as this helps us to identify weaknesses and to avoid them. We will of course discuss your note with the responsible department head. But great to hear that the food was excellent! Kind regards,Heinz Hunkeler, General Manager Kulm Hotel St. Moritz

I've been to Balthazar in St. Moritz with my wife and I think that we'll go back again. Food was amazing and the 'ossobuco con polenta' and the veal cutlet that we ordered were really great. The crispy 'tiramisù' and the chocolate and pears cake were delicious and fresh. Remarkable also the fact that meals are accompanied by live music with a really skilled young pianist. I found the prices in line with those of St. Moritz and absolutely justified by the quality of food and location.Cared of in every detail (live music included). I decided to write because in addition of a gorgeous meal I found a very professional staff. We'll be back many other times.

We stayed in Grand hotel Kronenhof. This is the best restaurant in this hotel for dinner if u are looking for a place for fine dinning . Food is excellent ! The pressed duck was not as good as I had in Paris . But it’s much cheaper here , but I am not gonna complain . I like the second way of the duck better than the first way . The second way: they cook the sauce with orange and it’s taste better . Not as salty as the first one. The duck is well prepared and crispy outside and tender inside. Please make sure u make reservation before . It’s full house The restaurant is too busy so , it’s slower than normal fine dinning in New York or other big cities . We end up spend almost 2 hrs for that meal after we rushed them many times ( my daughter was very sleepy ) . I understand the ordering press duck takes time . But I think desert can be faster . This hotel offers a kid club : which kid can has free ice cream but I found that most of the restaurant staffs don’t know . They charged ice cream in the bill even my daughter showed them the kid club bangle before ordering. So , check your bill if u going to order ice cream for your kid .We are happy for the meal and would come back again in the future.
