Last time we ate here we sat outside so this time we reserved a table inside. We found the dining room charming. The only disappointment, and the reason for a four-rating, is that some booths are taped up with duct tape. Perhaps new booths are on order, but it was rather unsightly to be lead through the beautiful dining room to a booth with duct tape slathered all over it. Besides that, service was impeccable, from bread person to waitress. They understand cocktail time and the need to unwind. Timing was perfect. We ordered a beef Wellington and the pork chop, in addition to a delightful appetizer of stacked eggplant slices. Even though we took half our meals home, we couldn't pass up the bread pudding. The portion was really enough for four, but we did our best to devour the delicious treat. People were dressed from casual (baseball cap, t-shirt and shorts) to dressy (women in dresses and skirts, and men in collared shirts and khakis) If you are in Springfield, definitely dine here. We will return.

Central Illinois premier fine dining destination. Providing fine dining with a groove since 1988.
Not a lot of fine restaurants are open on Mondays in Springfield Illinois. Nathan was our waiter and he treats you like you are in New York City or Chicago. Nathan is local but has a very international flair and international experience. Nathan is an awesome waiter in all ways. My wife had lamb chops medium rare; others had the sea scallops, not the baby bay scallops. Exceeded our highest expectations!!Very efficient wait persons. With service, food quality and wait staff that matches the Chicago & New York City quality. I only wish they would bring back the concert grand piano. Thank you for the very wonderful experience!!

We pulled this place out of the sky and decided to try it. Parking looked iffy with a few off street spots, but the office across the street allows a few spaces too. Inside, it was sort of interesting. Staff was very pleasant and professional. The lowest point was a Diet Coke my wife ordered that was so syrupy it was near-undrinkable. Not sure if they had a bad mix or if itâs always like that. However, after that point everything went straight up. Wife had an avocado and orange salad with grilled chicken that she absolutely loved and said there were several others she would like to try. I had an order of wings which to my confusion, were cooked differently depending on bone-in or not. I wanted the battered, but that only came in boneless. Still donât get it. Anyway, had the bone-in wings with garlic Parmesan... they were great. Loved them. Had a small Caesar salad with it that had a dressing that was not creamy, didnât think Iâd like it... it was excellent too. So great food if unexpected, surprisingly low prices, interesting if quirky waitress. This place was the anti-Springfield style restaurant; average serving sized with excellent quality food instead of piles of mediocre. We will definitely be back for another round.Thank you so much!! We really appreciate the positive review! I do apologize for the flat or syrupy Diet Coke, we have had small issues recently from one of the fountains but it is resolved now. Very glad you liked our staff and food and we can't wait to see you again! Thank you. Ebben A. Moore
