It is a pleasure to sit in the elegant and cool dining room here and to enjoy the local dishes from the small but varied menu. When presented with many wonderful pasta choices, I become a bigger ditherer than Hamlet, so it is nice to be able to order a plate that has all of them to try out. Superb the tartare of Piedmontese beef (a Slow Food Presidio product), equally good the lake pike done Mantua style and the tender guinea fowl (an old Gonzaga recipe). Desserts are to expectation, nothing too fancy but traditional sweets carefully prepared. The wine list has some lovely local wines at good prices, we especially loved the Botticino from Colli degli Ulivi (Noventa) - a very old DOC wine made of Barbera and Sangiovese grapes. A deep and delicious wine.Service is friendly and efficient - a lovely restaurant.

Il ristorante, consigliato da un amico intenditore, è attiguo alla strada principale del paese, purtroppo poco visibile, con un comodo parcheggio pubblico quasi di fronte.E' composto da due salette accoglienti, arredate in modo semplice ma elegante.Personale professionale e molto cordiale.Per iniziare ci è stato offerto un ottimo flute di spumante di Lugana.Come primi abbiamo scelto i fusilloni con bottarga e gli spaghetti con limone e gamberi rossi, entrambi squisiti.A seguire trancio di ombrina con pomodorini e polipo caramellato con purè ed olive taggiasche trattate, tutto freschissimo con un buon connubio di sapori.Per concludere due dolci buoni e particolari.Rapporto qualità prezzo corretto.

What a fantastic meal. We went for the taster menu. The food was exceptional with my favourite being the veal tongue.The staff were attentive and personable. We asked for a wine recommendation and after a few questions the young waiter hit the spot. The view matched the food and we loved the experience.Couple of suggestions....It was really hot, and there didnât seem to be any aircon... suggest a few fans to keep the air moving... the staff did very well to stay focussed despite the heat.Do something about the millions of tiny flies around the grass area. We are glad we sat inside.

we were staying at the relais and used the restaurant on 3 or 4 occasions. Our waiter was extremely helpful in explaining the origin of the local dishes and the local wines. We felt very well looked after. the views across to the Garda mountains were lovley. we also had discounted meals as we were residents.
