The Frigate bird is legendary to sport fishermen and itâs presence is an indicator to a bountiful catch, good times and success. After a long day, sea wary sportsmen return to their favorite speakeasy to enjoy refreshing beverages, great food, music and l
We have just eaten at this restaurant and came away feeling very disappointed. We chose to go according to the reviews, however, we are finding just recently that the reviews printed do not quite match with actual Restaurantâs food and service. Upon arrival there were two very young ladies waiting to meet & greet customers, however they have no clue how to address the public and were obviously giggling and making fun at our expense upon our entry. Our server was excellent, Nicolas was very polite and attentive no issues there. Food was nothing special and way over priced for portion size. You are actually paying more dollars just for the privilege of sitting next to the water and in this case a very busy road. Do not recommend shall not revisit!

First time visitor. Loved every bite! We started with their Ahi appetizer and it was delicious. I ordered the filet with gorgonzola and it was perfectly cooked to medium rare. Seriously melt in your mouth good and it was full of flavor. The rest of my party had mussels with capellini (he ordered it hot and said it was amazing), mahi and chicken marsala. Wish we had room to try some of their desserts but we will definitely be back.

My wife and I and another couple had dinner at Buccan last night, a Saturday. We've been hearing good things about Buccan for years, but none of us had been there until last night, and we were not disappointed. We just wish we hadn't waited so long to try it!Buccan is located on South County Sd, next to their sister restaurant Imoto. We used the complimentary valet parking, but there was street parking available on some nearby streets. The valets were very efficient and we only had a brief wait when we left the restaurant, even though there were other people waiting for cars at the same time.I tried to make a reservation about 10 days in advance on OpenTable, but there was nothing available between 5:30 and 9:00. I contacted the restaurant via e-mail to ask if they had anything available between those times, and they responded promptly and gave me a reservation for 6:45. We arrived early, so we sat in the lounge and waited for our friends to arrive. The restaurant was very busy even though it's off season, so I'm glad I made a reservation. Most people were dressed the Palm Beach equivalent of "smart casual," though some people were very casual. The restaurant is attractive inside, but fairly noisy. The front section consists of a bar on one side and lounge on the other, with the dining room in the middle, and open kitchen in back. While we were waiting for our friends, my wife ordered a Watermelon Martini and I had a Smoked Jalapeno Margarita. The martini was very tasty but mostly juice, and the margarita was also quite tasty and a bit spicy (but not too spicy, at least for me), though not very potent. Our friends arrived a few minutes before our reservation time and joined us in the lounge. They ordered a Smirnoff Cosmo (her) and Funky Buddha Vibin' beer (him). Just after ordering, our table became available, so they sat us and moved our bar tab into the dining room so we didn't have to settle up first. We were initially seated at a table that was integrated with the kitchen counter at the back of the restaurant. It was an interesting spot because you could watch them cooking, but there was so much noise coming from the kitchen that we literally couldn't hear ourselves talking, so we asked to be moved. We ended up at a nice table by the window, which was quieter (though not quiet).Since Buccan's menu is dominated by small plates, the four of us decided to share several items. We started by ordering 4 Short Rib Empanadas and 4 Spicy Pork Tacos (both are priced individually). The empanadas were really good, and my favorite item of the evening. I didn't love the tacos, but everyone else did, and that was my wife's favorite item. For the second round we ordered a Wood Grilled Cauliflower Caponata and a large Sweet Corn Agnolotti. They were both very good too -- everyone raved about the agnolotti, which was my second favorite item (the cauliflower came in third). We also had more cocktails: another margarita for me, more cosmos (my wife switched to cosmos after the first drink), more beers, and a couple of glasses of wine. The food was just the right amount without making us feel stuffed, so we all decided to pass up dessert. Our server Juan and the other staff we interacted with were all very friendly, helpful, and efficient. Some other reviewers mentioned high prices, but I thought the food prices were quite reasonable for what you got, and though the drinks weren't inexpensive, they were priced consistently with other comparable restaurants.Local customers can sign up for a Local's Card on the restaurant web site, which gives you 15% off food (not drinks) from June through October, at both Buccan and Imoto. I signed up when I made the reservation, and although I didn't receive the card yet or have any proof that I signed up, we were given the discount anyway. Our friends also signed up for the card. The four of us were very happy with our experience at Buccan, and we'll definitely be back. If you haven't tried Buccan yet, you should, and don't wait years like we did. :-)

Visiting from Boston . This restaurant is amazing . Excellent service and atmosphere. Everything we ordered tasted so fresh and delicious! We had two avocado margaritas, homemade guacamole and peppers for an appetizer. We got the Mahi-mahi and Salmon special. This was the best tasting salmon Iâve ever had . Cooked to perfection with mango teriyaki topping it absolutely melted in my mouth . Do not skip this fabulous restaurant!!
