Reviews on Contemporary food in Santa Rosa, California, United States. If you're into wine-tasting, a weekend in Santa Rosa is certain to be satisfying. But this region of magnificent redwoods, rolling hills and ocean vistas has a great mix of other fun pastimes as well. Located right in the center of the Sonoma County wine region, Santa Rosa is home to several vineyards with world-class wines, rich histories and beautiful surroundings. The Matanzas Creek Winery offers June and July visitors a chance to enjoy its aromatic fields of blooming lavender, but its Estate Gardens and spectacular scenery are tourist draws year-round. If golf is your passion, grab your clubs and spend a relaxing afternoon at Fountaingrove or one of the other popular courses. Young and old alike will delight in the Charles M. Schulz Museum, which chronicles the evolution and history of Snoopy and the "Peanuts" gang. With wine or without, a trip to Santa Rosa is one you'll never forget.

We were attending Dr. McDougallâs Residential program nearby and a whole food plant based menu was arranged for us, and we couldnât have been more pleased with the dishes that were served. We started out with corn soup and veggie sushi followed by a variety of Asian dishes. Everything turned out great and there was no meat, fish, dairy or any kind of oil included in any offering.

We took hamburgers that were tasty and beef was cooked as ordered. You can get a salad or frites aside and pricing is reasonable (9 dollars). The service was kind and the timing was right. There are a plenty of other choices as well and pricing seemed to be reasonable in those as well. The interior is not that homy - more like a pub. Probably because they offer a wide selection of wiskies as well.

Downtown location with available parking. Had delicious grilled halibut over beans and steamed vegetables. Wife had a delicious pasta dish and tomatillo soup. Service was attentive and friendly and the place was full on a Friday night. We made reservations well in advance. Everything we had was freshly prepared from scratch. Overall great experience.

A San Francisco Chronicle Bay Area Top 100 Restaurant for four years, Willi's Wine Bar's classic roadhouse appeal captures the casual, laid-back nature of Sonoma County Wine Country. Tourists and locals feel equally at home enjoying a quick bite or linger
I dined with family recently at Willi's Wine Bar and it was beyond fabulous! Every small plate was an artistic delight, the food was unique and delicious and our server, Reina, was attentive and helpful. The goat cheese fritters with blistered tomatoes and lavender honey was my favorite of all the plates we shared (and we shared a lot). Go, indulge, enjoy. **Reseve a table outside. Inside is extremely noisy making conversation difficult.
