The gourmet restaurant Bel Etage on the 1st floor of the Art Hotel Teufelhof has the intimate character of a salon. The daily changing offer includes à la carte dishes and different sizes of menu. Each course is offered with an accompanying wine by the gl

The restaurant Atelier underlines the art and gallery orientation of the cultural guesthouse «Der Teufelhof Basel». Being the French word for an artistâs workshop, an atelier is the workplace of a creative person. Our guests staying in the restaurant Atel
I just love eating here The menu has always something interesting for me. I look for regional food and meat. I always get good help, what kind of wine to choose. Very friendly staff - I feel very welcome.

I tried the Roots restaurant. Very friendly service there. Was served nice cold coca cola with separate ice supplied. They try to become a Michelin star restaurant some time in the future. I tried the meal of the day, which looked good. It tasted alright.

The Rhyschänzli stands for regional products and high-quality ingredients, which are processed into elegant dishes with the passionate craft of cooking. We spoil our guests with traditional dishes and innovative, as well as seasonal daily menus, which are
Mixed platter and marrowbone as a starter. Dry aged côte de boeuf and âfalsche schneckenâ (filet in little pieces, baked with cafe de paris) plus pommes allumettes etc as a main courseFresh strawberries and pieplant pieces plus pieplant sauce with yoghurt ice cream and lava cake as a dessert.Everything was very good, very high quality. Very friendly service. A âfeeling to be at homeâ overcomes you. There was only one thing that was bad which was the service time. The food arrived (but they were busy). 40min until the starter and another 40-50 until the main course arrived. We arrived at the restaurant at around 8pm. BUT as an apology the dessert for all of us (3 people, almost CHF 50.-) was on the house which is very generous. We will come visit again for sure!

My husband and I were very positively surprised by the good quality and excellent service at Brunch at Matisse last Sunday. Wide variety of cakes, fruit, cheese, yoghurt, cold meat and bread and eggs/ omelettes prepared by order as an alternative to reduce waste and keep products fresh. The restaurant is also very charming and modern.Cost is high but you are paying for what you get. I would definitely recommend it.Now looking forward to returning for dinner, which I have no doubt is fabulous.
