This hip tavern is in downtown Coruña, popular with the young Inditex crowd, but not just. Itâs for everyone, families too. Thereâs an open kitchen and long communal tables that invite you to share the elaborate bites. We chose an all fish mood menu: starting with the monkfish salad with a yummy vinaigrette, then marinated mackerel. The mains were stewed John Dory with mashed celeriac (super) and grilled bluefin tuna belly (a bit bland). Our desserts were a really tasty caramel custard with cream, and a not so great apple pie (too much cardamom and a bit hard). We really enjoyed the ambiance, very casual and with attentive and quick service. Thereâs room for improvement but, all in all, itâs very recommendable. La carta:

CASALEXO is a meeting place, tapas and wines, shared lunches, conversations and nights of joy. Our cuisine is simple, fresh, seasonal and with no complications, attached to the product and the flavors of the land and the sea, which we find every day in th
We were taken by Spanish friends to this busy but friendly establishment. It was a delightful experience bright clean with an interesting and different menu. A lovely Ribera de Duera - very reasonably priced an original salad and a selection of typical raciones gentlemen but all with a small but positive gastronomic twist. We will revisit

Buried in the Old town, it has a small (ish) front and has to be sought out, but the beer menu makes it worthwhile. They have 20 draft beers, which are regularly alternated (so I was told) and the barman had no idea how many bottled variations, I would guess 150+. From our visit the stand out was Circus Ipa. The menu looks interesting but the seating is very limited so we were unable to sample it.

The whole Street is packed with amazing restaurants. And Frank is no exception. The food was simply amazing, prepared perfectly. The ambience was good and staff could be a little bit more attentive (1 waitress on a busy night is not enough) but other than that dining in Frank was one of the more enjoyable experiences

Restaurante de cocina de mercado basado en platillos para compartir o menú degustación. Ticket medio sobre 45 â¬
A very wide selection of traditional Galician, as well as many other food choices. Prices were very reasonable, service was very attentive, and the restaurant was right in the heart of town with good shopping very near. A highly recommended place to dine while on the Camino.

Ok. When my friend asked me how brave I was feeling that night I thought to myself... "Brave?" "In Ferrol?" "You have to be kidding me!!!". We all know each other. We all know EVERYTHING that is going on! Despite my initial reaction, I decided to let my friend decide where we would be dining that night... The car stopped in front of Vanessa. "Here???" I could not believe it! Vanessa is one of those places from the 90s where we used to have ice cream during lazy-Sunday afternoons... Oh boy was I wrong... Dinner started with a small un-promising printed menu. There were approximately 20 small plates ranging from 2 to 10 euros. We ordered almost everything. Soon enough we realized that the chef (and yes, I call him chef), did not match the décor: it was a succulent succession of small delicacies, retaining the usual "tapas" style with a twist... The presentation of the tiny plates which, as bombs of flavor were landing at our table, was imaginative and tasteful. It is a tapas place, after all, but he was able to give delicacy to dishes as popular as cheese and anchovies... I left the place longing for more... Since then, I have visited Vanessa in two more occasions. Each time, I had a pleasant, accommodating experience. I have not met the chef in person yet but, from here, I can only say that he is what a restaurant needs: commitment, enthusiasm, candor and sensibility. All these over a plate of bravas. Please do not miss. I give it 4 stars because of the décor, however, maybe, that is what makes this place so fascinating... I do not know...

Restaurante a la carta con un punto informal. Especialidad en arroces, carnes y pescado de lonja local. Postres caseros y elaborados. Bodega muy cuidada y variada.
This restaurant really gave us a great surprise. We were welcome by Ana, the waitress, who is very nice and can give good advice about the menu. There is a wide variety of options among the starters, we chose the marinated salmon and mackerel tartar on sushi rice with a fried egg, a very tasty experience. Most diners had also ordered one of the rice dishes, we went for the dry version (a banda) with monkfish and prawns. Delicious, just like the veggie pad Thai that our kid enjoyed. The wine was also great and the ambiance and lighting made the overall impression a very pleasant one. Totally recommend,itâs probably the best addition to the A Coruña restaurant scene lately.
