Dinner at 730 tonight with a half empty restaurant. The kitchen closes at 830pm. When we enter, the server is engaged in a conversation with a patron. After a few min, he gives us menus and tells us to sit anywhere, then he resumes his conversation with the patron. At least 10 min later he comes to the table to take our order. Our order included water for the table, which only comes after we wave him down. He provides 4-6 oz glasses of water. We wave him down again when the glasses are empty-- this time he gives us a carafe of water. 20 min after our order has been placed, we are served a luke warm medium rare beef burger and cold brussel sprouts topped with unmelted parmesan cheese. We had to ask for cutlery to eat our meal and he gave us 3 sets when we are a party of 4. We had wanted to order ice cream for dessert but he seemed to avoid our table, so we went up to the cashier to pay. He did move quickly when it was time to put the "closed" sign on the exterior.

We were looking for a place to grab a small dinner mid-week and found Side Street Kitchen of course on the side street off the main. The restaurant presents nicely with a really cool mural on one of the walls. There is plenty of seating inside and outside and once you are seated and decide what you want, you go to the counter to place your order and pay for it.The menu is not large but has some unique items. We ordered the BLT with pork belly with a little concern as that combination could go down-hill really fast. However, it was a great combination providing a wonderful taste profile with a flavorful and large piece of pork belly, caramelized onions, lettuce and tomato bathed in a tasty sauce. It was a surprise and was really good. We then had a caramel pudding with cream. I thought the caramel was home made as it you could actually taste the caramel and it was not overwhelmed with it being too sweat. Overall I was a really good and surprising meal. I canât wait to go back and try some of the other items on the menu. Definitely worth a visit.

My family had an amazing prix fix dinner with unusual and tasty food combinations including mussel soup, long cod fingers, lamb, chanterelles, faux gras (amazing) and beignets. The service was attentive without being cloying. The wine list was a bit short on less expensive wine however it turned out to be a perfect event.
