AYLYAKRIA â The Temple of Aylyak. Aylyak is a typical Plovdiv word which describes the state of peacefulness, delight, nirvana. This is the philosophy that we preach in our Gastro bar - in Aylyakria we love to enjoy, to amuse and please ourselves. The aro
I just finish my lunch and would like to share my experience. I have eaten in all of the top restaurants in Plovdiv and for the most part I liked most of them except Tam's house. Aylyakria is on a different level. From the carefully restored old building to all the interior decorations everything sims to fit perfectly. The menu is very interesting with dishes that is made with high quality fresh ingredients. My wife ordered zucchini pancakes (katmi) with yogurt dill sauce - totally delicious. I ordered pork ribs and they were the best I have eaten in Plovdiv. The service was fast and professional and none imposing. We are coming back. You are a 5/5 client, that's for sure! Thanks for the review! :))))))

Unfortunately after successful kick off and being a landmark for Mexican food in Bulgaria this restaurant fell in the commercialization trap. Results in my last visits - uncharacterful food, obviously untrained cooking staff and customer treatment as one of the bulk. The top was ordering taco de carne and getting a sweetish meal without meat. If you want to survive you got to take measures for quality control.
Located on the top floor of the Imperial Plovdiv Hotel & Spa, with magnificent view over the City and the Rhodopee Mountains, The Whisky Library is the perfect place to meet before going out....or coming back. With over 200 Whiskies and counting, includin
The Whisky Library is located on the 9th floor of Hotel Imperial, so if you are not a local in Plovdiv, just get a taxi to it.A small and cozy lounge place, this little place is an amazing spot to spend long hours in pleasant talks with friends or business partners, while enjoying different whiskies. The huge variety of very rare bottles and often introductions of new ones make The Whisky Library a place where you could go only with the idea of exploring the world of malt. No food is served there!Service is flawless, the bar tenders' knowledge of every single bottle and the processes of maturing the different whiskies is truly impressive. They could really consult you and guide you through the world of malt in a way that I have not seen anywhere else in Bulgaria.Prices are on the high side if you compare to Bulgarian standard of living, but if you are a foreigner, the prices are amazingly low. The whole place is simply something that could easily be described as the "must visit" place on a regular basis of you are a self-respecting whisky lover / explorer!
