Wild Garlic has held Two AA rosettes since opening and is a family run, family friendly, bistro style restaurant. Above Wild Garlic there are five lovely bedrooms, each boasting four AA gold stars. Set in the heart of the Cotswold town of Nailsworth on Co
We popped in here for a quick lunch. Quite surprised by the bullish prices. The service was quite good. The decor was fine. The place is well kept and presents well. However, in our view, the food does not merit the bottom line. My £8 starter broad bean and mascarpone tart was in a pastry case that was either stale or very badly cooked. The 'artisan' focaccia was also stale. Unimpressed and would not go there again after this showing.

Along with some friends we stayed at the apartments in the Egypt Mill complex. From the moment we arrived to when we left after a delicious breakfast, we could not fault a thing. Staff were so friendly. Apartment was stunning. Surroundings were beautiful. Can not recommend highly enough. Go. Stay. Enjoy.

I have enjoyed a few lovely quiet evenings in the Corner House and sampled their lovely food and drink; I was a fan, but unfortunately I made the mistake of visiting on a very busy Saturday evening the other weekend. I was with my family celebrating a birthday and engagement, I had had a few beers but I was no where near as drunk as the guy behind the bar who threw together the worst cocktail Iâve ever tasted, then disappeared off to serve someone else before I could finish my order. Any other time I would have presumed it was a free drink the way he left me but I waited. The owner/manager came along and didnât like me complaining. His response wasnât ideal either but, you know, he was very busy, Iâm not knocking that. He continued to make the remaining (nice) cocktails of my order but when I tried to say I wasnât happy to pay for the first horrific drink he decided he was going to serve me at all. Eventually I got my drinks, we drank them and we left as it was too busy and the experience had started to ruin my evening. I later found out that the drunk guy helping behind the bar caused a lot more trouble and cost to the business with similar antics throughout the evening. No matter what time of night or day of the week, and especially when youâre ordering a round of expensive cocktails, I expect 100% customer service and the Corner House failed to deliver with their not so helpful, drunk, bar staff. Itâs a shame. I would recommend the Corner House on a quiet occasion. But Iâm one of those people who stick to my guns and I now refuse to pay my hard earned money I to their till.

We think youâll love exploring an eclectic and imaginative menu of truly stand-out dishes, whilst enjoying the relaxed and unfussy service in The Conservatory. Itâs a wonderful space, full of natural light and overlooking our gorgeous grounds, yet still f
Stopped by for an impromptu lunch out. First of all, the setting the restaurant is in is very beautiful and relaxing. Secondly they have chargers for Electric Vehicles too which is brilliant. The Conservatory has a good atmosphere, friendly but professional. All the staff were attentive and served us well. The lunch menu had a good selection (you could still have the main menu too) and was priced at a good level for the type of establishment that it is. The food, was very well done. The starters we had were simple but full of flavour and looked really pretty on the plate. We both had the lamb which was gorgeous and the wild garlic purée was to die for. Even though we live nearby up until 3 days ago we hadnât come to this restaurant, but we had a Sunday Lunch the other day too and it was so good with good service, that was why we came back 4 days later for our lunch. We will come again and I do recommend this place. HelloThank you so much for sharing your experience in The Conservatory. I am thrilled to hear that you found the restaurant beautiful and relaxing, you received good service and that you would recommend us!I will pass on your compliments to our friendly, attentive and professional team!We look forward to seeing you again really soon!Best wishesTamsyn

We booked this hotel based on a recommendation from a friend based on it's close proximity to the area in which we wanted to visit. While it's not necessarily luxury, it's simply a charming and delightful place to stay. The staff add to it's atmosphere. While I'm sure there were other restaurants to dine, we opted to eat dinner here every night during our stay - why ? Because the meals were so delicious.
