As the headline of this review goes, this restaurant makes high cuisine for very good value. I particularly recommend oysters (ostras de la ria de Aveiro), which are delicious and cooked in a very original way. The tuna dish (atum rabilho) with gazpacho, avocate cream, etc are worth to try. Very good fish, particularly cod, which I think it is one of their especialities. Good desserts, try the strawberries with vanilla and vodka. The service could not be better in all senses. If you are interested in a simple sandwich with style in Aveiro, this is your choice. Trincaxa offers several types of "tostadas" (Portuguese toasted sandwiches), along with some mayo and fries. I think this is a good option for those who wants to skip formal dinner (as I did) in Aveiro!

Warm welcome in English. The Portuguese menu has been translated by the waiter with explanations. The chef came himself in the dining room to explain a dish. The atmosphere very like a garden is peaceful. This is a nice surprise because it is located in a sleeping neighbourhood. We had bacalhau a Annaâs with is a tasty codfish pie. Mainly Portuguese people in there.
