Seafood & Steakhouse
Very impressed with this restaurant when four of us dined there April 3rd . The service was behond excellent, attentive and pleasant ....more staff than patrons .....although we were there during off peak hours . The food was also excellent , and plentiful . The restaurant is new and the decor is very impressive. All this at reasonable prices ......highly recommended.

Bryans is part of the Trotter family of restaurants in Mérida, so we we reserved for our group of about 16 with high expectations.Fact is, they did pretty well. Food came out for every one at about the same time (not spread out over 15 minutes or more). Food was good; enjoyed by all.But two big negatives. The first was the very loud, thumping techno music that just made it hard to enjoy anything. I know a lot of places play this stuff, but I have to wonder if the staff ever watches people trying to have conversations? (Clue: if you see your servers obviously having trouble taking orders from customers, maybe that's a problem? )Second was the absolute refusal to split the check. I'm sorry, but you folks have SOFTWARE now. We eat out in groups a lot, and this is the first time in several years that the waiter had to bring us the long itemized list and make us pull out our calculators and figure it out for ourselves. And unfortunately, since that's the end of the evening, it's the thing we tend to remember most of all. Bryans, YOU CAN FIX THIS and you should.

Delicious food! A little pricey for merida but the food is very very good! However the service is not! Third time Iâve been there and it he service was non existent unless you are a table of 4 or more. I usually go with one friend and the service was let good at all? Took forever to be acknowledged, served and even to get our bill!

We are a pause in your day, in an artistic and welcoming atmosphere that hosts 30 guests. Our proposal is a contemporary cuisine, by the chefs JoaquÃn Cardoso and SofÃa Cortina, who respects the traditional flavors with a fresh and natural gastronomic off
While strolling around the downtown area we came across this really nice looking restaurant inside a beautiful newly remodeled building. We had a couple of drinks, checked out the menu and the food that was coming out of the kitchen. The drinks were delicious, the service was great, and everything that we saw smelled and looked delicious. Will have to go back and try the food.

Châooj, a Gastronomic gallery, is the Restaurant of Yaâax Hotel Boutique in Mérida. As you enter through the doors of Yaâax, Châooj is situated on the right and shows the high beamed ceilings characteristic of houses from the end of the 19th century colon
After a decade of coming to Merida and finding many new and wonderful restaurants, we discovered a newly opened, upscale 5 star restaurant & boutique hotel in an unlikely part of Centro. The dining room is intimate, seats 18, with view into the kitchen. It is in a small hotel, yet to officially open, with a lovely restaurant where the food is art and the staff is exceptional. The food was exquisite in every sense. Unique and truly a 5 star dining experience that you would expect in LA or NYC. The ceviche was a twist on corn, not the traditional fish. The filet of beef, was served with the most amazing mole` that we have experienced, it was so superb with a deep chocolate taste and a spicy finish, that the staff noted our enthusiasm and brought a small dish of the sauce. It was unlike anything every called mole that we have experienced anywhere. The fish was steamed in a banana leaf and served with a delicious risotto comprised of local ingredients. Dessert was papaya creme brulee' that was lovely. Menu is available only in Spanish, the wine list is very limited although there is a full bar available. Staff is amazing and incredibly attentive. The preparation of the meal is a component of the visual interest from the intimate dining room into the glassed in kitchen. It will be worth watching the development and interest in this restaurant on our return trips to Merida as food this beautiful and artistic will be on the radar of the gourmand visitor soon.

Beautiful new addition to Merida. Food prepared with the heart and lots of firewood, we love seafood but we have a little bit of everything including vegetarian, our cocktails are classic and our wine selection was designed with our dishes in mind, a warm
Today it was our first time at Micaela, and we enojes it very much. We tried mainly the daily specials and they were all great. Specialties are based in wood fired cooking, so the taste is really genuine and good. Emphasis here is on seafood, so enjoy!

PORFIRIO'S is passion, pride and excellence. A restaurant that praises the best of Mexico, transforming its traditional flavors, textures and aromas into the most exquisite dishes of Mexican haute cuisine.
We were there for a special occasion and It was very disappointed. The place looks very nice and well decorated but the ambience wasn't something that I have enjoyed, loud music and TV in one of the most expensive restaurante in town, for me do not work together. Service was poor, we had to ask for menus, cocktail list etc. The food was the worst part, you can have better mexican food at any mercado in town. Thank you very much for posting a review about your experience, we are concerned about this situation and we'd like to follow-up your comments, could you please email your contact info to [email protected]?Our management team will reach you as soon as possible, please don't forget to mention your trip advisor alias.Warm regards

Contemporary mexican cuisine
Weâve eaten here twice during our visit, based on the recommendation of a top chef in Mexico. It is definitely as good as the recommendation. Service was excellent. On Thursday evenings Starting at 21:00 there is live music in the adjacent plaza. Free dinner show with lots of local audience members. The food is exceptional. Very flavorful, unique fusion of ingredients, not heavy. The seafood is fresh and cooked to perfection, excellent octopus and sea bass. Excellent ceviche. Wonderful soups.I would suggest that two people each order an appetizer and share them, and then order a single main to share. There would be plenty to eat.Thereâs a nice wine selection. The desserts we each had were very good but also very sweet. I think that is for some reason indicative of hot climates. After dinner walk around and check out all of the adjacent cafés and shops.

We are a concept of comfort food, where we serve breakfast & brunch with the worry of preserving the traditional flavors, using products of season and adapting them to the gastronomic trends of nowadays.
Four of us walked over for breakfast from our Airbnb. We had a great, fresh, and creative breakfast. I had a freshly made horchata which was excellent. Each of us had something different and we were all very satisfied. We were greeted by a friendly waiter who took excellent care of us even though the place gets quite busy. Go before 10:30AM or it might be full. This is not a fast food joint. The food is all made fresh and made to order so it takes a while. Be patient and you will be rewarded. I use Tripadvisor a lot and read through all the reviews, even the negative ones to get a sense of a place. There were only 4 one and two star ratings. When I read them, I knew they were either competitors or just people that can't be pleased under any circumstances. The place is a small neighborhood restaurant serving well-prepared, fresh food. It gets busy. When it gets busy, service slows down like it does in every other restaurant. Their hours are available on Tripadvisor. Don't expect them to be open before or after hours. And in Mexico, if you want water you are better off buying a bottle con gas or sin gas. It will be cool, refreshing, inexpensive, and it is available everywhere.
