Reviews on Contemporary food in Maputo, Maputo Province, Mozambique. Maputo, the lush capital of Mozambique, sits on the shore of the Indian Ocean. Founded as a port town by the Portuguese, the influence of travelers and traders from Africa, Asia, and Europe, has made the city a diverse and lively metropolis. The area is famous for its prawns in peri-peri sauce, a spicy concoction made from an especially hot African chili pepper. Calm down your taste buds afterwards with a beer at one of the many bars and nightclubs in the Fere de Populare neighborhood.

Fabulous new restaurant with its own craft beer âMafalalaâ. Simply superb. Great service, great beer, great food. A must visit when in MaputoThank you so much Roger! We are happy that you enjoyed the the place, the beer, the service and the food !We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Had a lovely bottle of Chenin here today. Service was attentive and snacks good. They donât have all wines advertised which is understandable but a shame. However, not the fault of the bar, but the view is of a partly rubbish strewn reservation and then the sea. In general Iâm not loving the Maputo beach vibe (too much rubbish).
We strongly believe that the choices we make about our food, how its prepared and where it comes from has direct impact on our health. We are also very passionate about the mozambican gastronomy, the influences it has from different cultures and its diver
This place serves great wraps and even better cocktails. The owner was very nice and the quality was good, especially for the price.
