This was a selection by my Lady, as being well recommended and close to the Pantages Theater. And a great selection it was! A nice selection of wines, and a very good menu of light pre-theater food choices was very much appreciated. I chose the pasta with seafood, which provided some succulent prawns with al dente pasta, outstanding in taste. My Lady had a similar dish, very well received. The service was outstanding in every respect. We'll certainly be back!

Unfortunately, when I visited Animal, I was on a fairly strict keto diet. But we were there to celebrate a family member‘s birthday brunch, and I had been wanting to go there for a long time! I was afraid of the usual problem; when you order something basic that isn’t the signature dish, you can be disappointed. But in this instance, that did not pan out. I ordered the bacon and eggs, and I did get the potatoes because they don’t allow substitutions. What a delightful surprise! I have a friend who says that he judges a restaurant by the house bread and the house red wine, and if they can’t get that right, the rest can’t be any better. This proved true for this restaurant. The basic bacon and eggs was fantastic! The eggs were beautifully seasoned and cooked, and the bacon was a very high quality meat that was cooked perfectly too. I did taste the potatoes because I had to, and they were perfection. I had to keep myself from finishing them because they were limited on my diet. Overall, everyone enjoyed their lunch, including me! I highly recommend.

Blu Jam Cafe

Nothing describes the award-winning Blu Jam Cafe better than "Creatively Eclectic". There really isn't anything on the menu that is considered normal. Chef Kamil's roots are very European (Czech Republic) so most of the dishes are very different making ju

When we are in town we like to try different places for different experiences and different foods. We came across Blue Jam and were not disappointed. Although super busy, there was flow in customer traffic and getting everyone greeted and seated. Once we sat, we had no issues with service. The drinks can cost a pretty penny but the food is definitely worth the trip. I had the rancheros and it did NOT disappoint. I highly recommend the cafe for breakfast/brunch. If you go the Rancheros is a MUST! Absolutely delicious.
