We had chosen this restaurant from various guidebooks and it did not disappoint. We were a party of 14 and they coped with us very well. The waiter was superb and the food was outstanding. The decor was very pleasant and was extremely art deco!We were warmly greeted and were offered amuses bouche, which were very good. The meal itself was great with every course being well presented and delicious. It is in a rundown sort of area but quite near the centre and I would recommend it unhesitatingly to anyone coming by Eurostar for the day. It was easily the best meal we had, and although not cheap, was good value for money as the food was very good.We would go there again!Dear serge, the team of the restaurant Le Court Debout in Lille thanks you for your very positive comment and your photos posted on Tripadvisor. We are delighted to have had a pleasant culinary moment at our table and hope to have the pleasure to welcome you again on a future visit to Lille. Sincerely - Sabine M.

Chez Octopus , vous découvrirez une cuisine moderne naturel accès sur la transformation de produit frais et locaux. Vous serez accueillis dans une salle aérée avec un service attentionnée et chaleureux .
We stumbled across Octopus after failing to get a table for lunch at the Sébastopol next door.We had walked from the Beaux-Arts museum which was around half a mile away on foot.We had the set lunch which was â¬28 each for three courses.Escargots to start, lieu noir (pollack) for main course and meringue for dessert. All were excellent with locally sourced vegetables accompanying the starter and main courses. We had a mackerel based amuse bouche prior to our starters and a pleasant bottle of house white wine to drink.Including coffee, we paid â¬40 each. A lovely meal with terrific, helpful service.

After a busy we headed here for cakes, lemonades, flat whites and hot chocolates and .... baby chinos. The place is an urban trendy coffee shop, staff are really friendly and sat us on a 10 seater table as there were 8 of us, including 2 kids. The place is busy but you donât feel overwhelmed as it is very spacious. I ordered and asked for 2 baby chinos , she didnât know what it was and asked another colleague who didnât know either then asked me what It was then said he would make it for me;I was very impressed byHis friendliness and eagerness to please. The cakes arrived and we tried each otherâs and they were delicious. All is made on the premiseWith a big kitchen area at the back. Very impressive service and friendly staffA great place

We enjoyed our evening in this small restaurant. English is spoken here and dishes are explained in detail if required. The beef came a little more cooked than we would have liked but the flavour was excellent so we weren't disappointed. There's a set menu option which we didn't really understand. We should have asked some questions about it as it wasn't clearly explained in the menu. If you are having a leisurely evening here and you're happy to have a range of tastes brought to you, I think it would be a good choice. Having said that, we made our own choices and enjoyed them all.

La Table is perfectly placed if you are heading to the grand stade and want something a lot nicer than the normal pre-football fare. The service throughout our meal was fantastic, they showed great attention to detail, were polite and attentive. The wine list is pretty good, they had several that I would have happily chosen. The food was great although not perfect. My steak tartare was wonderful and the texture was great. The chocolate fondant was good but not the best I have had. We would definitely return.
