Is this the ideal future proof restaurant concept? Not too many tables, not too much choice, no extra personnel? No excessive pump and circumstance. But all focus is on the food. And, by the way, excellent surroundings, and excellent lounge-style seating, even on a sunny terrace if weather permits. And excellent and knowledgeable service.An open (you can look over the cookâs shoulders) kitchen in the middle of the restaurant, and you can see the owners working in perfect unison. The lady of the house acts as the chef-cook, and the husband helps when needed, and acts as the maitre dâ.The result of the right priorities is clear: excellent food at reasonable prices. With very fresh and top quality ingredients. The menu concept is quite smart. You get some amuse-gueule to tune the palate. Then you can choose 2, 3, 4 or 5 selections from the carte (there are only 6 choices). And to allow the chef to focus on perfect preparation, all the table has to make the same choices.We had three very savoury amuses, then scallops, and then beef. Both main dishes accompanied by all kinds of finely prepared vegetables. And, as a dessert, vanilla ice with salt and olive oil! All Michelin-starred top quality level.You can order wine by the glass as well as per bottle. And if you want to indulge yourself, there is a gin-tonic menu for apero, and a lot of fine whiskies as pousse-café.Moreover ,the owners lent us their private parking lot for our car and bike-carrier, so we could make a carefree after-lunch tour around the dunes.Michelin star quality and very personal service, where do you find those both combined? Our friends had chosen this time to spent our midyearly evening in this restaurant, so we always convene that the bill for 4 will be divided by 2. Each one choses his dishes BUT this was impossible: the lady of the house said that we had to take each of us 4 the same Suggestions Menu drinks included at 65 euro each. The agreement came from our friends, so we agreed afterwards ! We had an entree with cooked oysters ! (bah !) and than a small piece of turbot, and a chocomoelleux to end. The trick with the drinks is that the lady of the house goes with the same winebottles to every table and serves it frequently full ...WHEN the glasses are not empty. So you get the impression that she came many times, but just to fill it a little bit up, so you don't drink much. The pretentious lady of the house serves every dish with high level comment as if we were on a 4 stars Michelin table ! No thank you, to tricky, to expensive, and not much in your dishes.

Renowned restaurant at the Belgian Sea Coast. Renovated in 2015. Trendy bistronomy with a contemporary interior. A large menu and choice of seasonal suggestions.
Just great food. Professional and very friendly staff. Some original dishes like e.g. lobster grilled in the green egg (very advisable, super), and of course some pimped classic dishes. The kids had chicken with fries. This was the most tasty chicken they've ever got. So, no rubish for the kids, just top quality.
