What a lovely pleasant experience for a Saturday night.Went to The Botanist, Trinity Leeds with all the family for my 30th birthday celebration. We were quite a large group, there were 10 of us so you don't always get the best experience on a Saturday night but this was exceptional. Megan our waitress was so helpful, friendly and attentive. She was very knowledgeable and a credit to the restaurant, she definitely made our meal! Thank you! Me and my fiance have visited the restaurant several times and have never had a bad meal or service so decided to go back and take all the family. Everyone was impressed! Great food and reasonably priced for Leeds. Drinks are always good and service on this occasion was outstanding thanks to Megan. Can't recommend the scotch egg and hanging kebabs enough, we love them!Hi Courty511,I'm glad to hear that your experience with us was so positive. I will pass on your feedback to Megan, she will be delighted! The Scotch Egg and the Hanging Kebabs are a few of our favourites too. We hope to see you again soon to try more of our new menu. Many thanks,Mary O'Shea - General Manager

DAKOTA GRILL offers exceptional service and perfectly cooked, classic dishes our guests love in the heart of the city, on Greek Street. In our Brasserie Grill, enjoy steaks cooked simply on hot coals, fresh fish prepared to perfection, and delectable deli
We had a few drinks upstairs - the service was first class, had a good selection of cocktails. We went downstairs to the restaurant then things started to go downhill. The restaurant is beautifully set out but the quality of food was not what I'd expect at this price point. We ordered pâté for starters which wasn't fresh and tasted like cheap supermarket pâté. The confit was good. For mains we ordered the Chataeubriand which was very average and I'm not even sure it was fillet either. It was the worst one I've had. The bearnaise sauce tasted like somebody had poured a gallon of white wine vinegar in it which made it inedible. We asked for a side of garlic butter but ended up with something that resembled an avocado dip. Overall good service let down by the poor quality food.Dear dkeller83,Thank you for taking the time to review your recent dining experience with us. While I am delighted to hear how you enjoyed our cocktails in the bar and the first class service I am disappointed to hear how the food did not match on this occasion. All of our dishes are prepared fresh in house using the best of seasonal ingredients available. I will share your feedback with our chef team. If you had raised any issues with our service team, we would have gladly replaced any item and had the opportunity to enable our service recovery on the evening.I hope this experience does not deter you from a future visit. Kind regards, Grill Management

New concept coffee, bar & kitchen serving artisan wood-fire roasted coffee, with an extensive food and drinks menu to cater for breakfast, brunch, and evening meals.
Not quite a 5* place for reasons I will explain later. But first the good points: the food is tasty and well-presented. Itâs great value for money. The owners definitely welcome you and the service is attentive but not oppressive! You get crystal glasses for your drinks! On the downside - place is a little small and gets noisy. My particular put-off was the parading of guests (maybe customers - more probably friends of the owners) with their dogs! Staff were stroking the dogs and then served us our food! No thanks! One of the dogs was big enough to be mistaken for a small horse! Finally people go outside to smoke - close to the open front door - all the smoke ends up back inside!Hey Costas!Thank you for kind words on our food and drink offerings! We take hygiene very seriously which is evident from our 5 star from the Food Standard Agency. As we are dog friendly and provide them with treats, staff are trained to wash their hands if they provide the warm welcome that we encourage here. If customers are exiting the premises to smoke, it is their responsibility to ensure they are away from the door and non-smokers are not affected by their second hand smoke. Overall we hope this hasn't deterred you from visiting us again. It would be a pleasure to have to try us again. Cheers,Residence74 Team
