You've probably heard that Guinness tastes better in Dublin (fresh from the factory), but what you may not know is that Dublin is a perfect destination for the whole family. No, we're not suggesting you let the kiddies drink a pint. Instead, take them to the Dublin Zoo, to feed the ducks in Stephen's Green or on a picnic in Phoenix Park. Scholars enjoy walking in the literary footsteps of such writers as Yeats and Joyce, while discerning shoppers have their pick of designer boutiques.

Stumbled across this on our first night and so enjoyed the food, staff and proximity to our accommodation that we ate here last night too. Suggest making a reservation and if you arrive early there is a reduction in the price. It was very noisy on the Friday but the food and happy diners made it great.PatriciaWhat a lovely review. Its always wonderful when we see that we were a significant part of someones Dublin holiday. Thank you for both of your visits and also thank you for taking the time to share the love here on TA!

Five out of five for this consistently excellent restaurant. Staff and food get top marks. The menu changes weekly so there’s always something new to try. Last night I enjoyed the duck croquettes with liver pate and beetroot as my starter and an incredible pork main that had pork three ways ( belly / cheek and stuffed steak) accompanied by fondant potato and a sweet onion tatin, parsnip , mustard and cavalo nero. All delicious and beautifully presented. Menu works for all diners - there’s always a soup/ meat / fish / veg dish on the menu & while the plates are creative there’s a comforting approach to food here. The restaurant serves beautifully presented food but doesn’t shy away from the fact that diners like good steak, chips or burger and the genius is that they make both available on the menu. Tip : Great staff, super with allergies. book ahead as it gets busy- if you have a group of 4 ask for the window booth.Super super super !Wow Deirdre, Thoroughly enjoyed reading (and re-reading) your thoughtful and flattering review, and thank you for taking the time to post. We are very fortunate to have had our exceptional Head Chef David O’Byrne running the kitchen since we opened back in Dec ‘15, hence the consistently high standard. (Recently confirmed by the retention of our Michelin Bib.Happy days!).Not to mention everyone else, some of the hardest working and loveliest staff I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. We look forward to taking care of you again soon, Russell @ Richmond

Was amazed and blown away by Chapter One. I had the 3 course pre-theatre menu (very pleasantly surprised to see a Michelin starred restaurant offering this), each course was full of flavour and perfectly presented. Staff were friendly and welcoming, the overall vibe of the restaurant wasn't stuffy either. Would highly recommend and will be back for the tasting menu.

We were staying in Cassiday's and Six was the restaurant inside this place. They had a nice breakfast set up each morning and even had our breakfast set up early since we were heading out on an early tour. (You have to let them know the night before if you need early breakfast.)Having just breakfast there makes our experience incomplete. They did have a good selection of the normal Irish fare for breakfast and they did assist me in freezing my insulin cold packs for the plane trip home. Thanks for that!Good Afternoon,Many thanks for your review and lovely kind words. We hope to welcome you back to us at any time, we would love to see you again.Kind Regards,Restaurant Six Team
