Designed around its eponymous white oven, is a comfort dining restaurant that serves international breakfast buffets and authentic Thai cuisine exquisitely revisited to showcase the gifts of the garden, the sea, and the artistry of the chefs.
When chef Poon was here, there was exquisite food. He has been transferred to Chiang Mai and the Thai dishes have suffered terribly. When we visited for dinner at the weekend, for the first time in a couple of years, we found the Massaman curry to be the worst we have ever had in Thailand. We could not eat it even though we were hungry. The taste of the other Thai dishes we ordered was acceptable but not what is expected at a good Thai restaurant, more like the basic tastes in one of those cheap places although quality of ingredients was of course better. The restaurant was only about a third full so there was no excuse for this disappointment. Our dishes were cleared away within a minute of the time we stopped eating. No question was asked about the Massaman even though there was so much left in the dish.Pity, we had had such high anticipation.

Where to eat Bar food in Cha-am: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Stumbled upon this restaurant by chance on my way home from work a couple of months ago and what a bit of luck. So much so that I have made it my stop-off point a couple of evenings each week.I learnt from the owner and his partner that they have 5-star hotel backgrounds in culinary arts and staff training respectively and it shows in both the quality of the cuisine and the service. The lady speaks very good English, but is only there when she finishes her day job and on her days off. However, she is working hard on improving the staff with the skills she has.The menu is very comprehensive and well translated into English, none of the confusing typos you see elsewhere, and if your server doesn't speak English there are clear pictures so you can always point out what you want.Thoroughly recommended. Service is quick and friendly. Prices very reasonable for the quality and quantity you get. They were very excited to have their restaurant mentioned on Trip Advisor by the first poster and so it's a pleasure to now add my recommendation.Easy to find if you are on the main road heading towards Cha-am Beach. About 100 metres before you reach the junction on your right. There's a small parade off shops opposite if that helps. Try it and see for yourself.
